Big painful lump about 3 inches from where anaesthetic needle went in

Hiya ladies, day after op I woke with a very painful hard lump in my arm – just wondering has anyone had this! Phoned nurse she said go to gp but I couldn’t get there yesterday and now it’s weekend I can’t c gp…. Grrr —

Possibly bruising with a bit of swelling, however to be on safe side do you not have a local walk in centre where you can get checked up? Failing that give NHS direct a call n speak to a nurse.

I’d def get I checked just to make sure. Do you have an NHS walk in centre where you are? Or call your gp and the answer machine will give you details of the out of hours gp service that you can ring up. Xxx

Sounds like some have the fluid may have gone into the tissue in your arm, its not a problem though and will subside in a few days. xx
