Ah man!! That’s a bummer. I’ll be booking to get them put back on a few days after I’m done then. Don’t feel myself with bare nails X

Does anyone know if you can keep shellac on your toenails?

They told me that sometimes they allow you to keep your nails on as long as you have nothing on your toes. Probably best to ask your nurse at the pre op x

I’ve been told before with general anaesthetic its because they often measure oxygen levels by clipping something into your finger- if you have shellac/gel/polish on it can stop the oxygen being read. It’s happened to me before where docs have worried that my oxygen was too low, but soon as I took the shellac off and re-tested it was totally fine. Xx
