Bio Oil – Scar Healing

Hello again

Does anyone know if its now ok to put bio oil on your scars? I am 3 weeks post op and my scars seem to be fully healed but couldn’t remember if I was meant to wait the 6 weeks until I start putting lotions directly on the scar…. Just putting around the boobs at the moment to keep moisturised and stop stretch marks. Many thanks

i would wait until your 6 week check personally just to be sure. 3 weeks arent going to make much difference in the scars fading anyway so you may aswell wait xx

I had my 6 week po check on friday and the nurse said that now i can use bio oil on my scars. Its best to wait incase you affect the healing of them xx

So glad I asked – thanks for letting me know. I was planning a bath and a oiling up tonight. lol eeek!!
