Bit unfair – Recommend a friend :( @MYA Moderator

I was recommended by someone but didn’t realise MYA offer a discount for this. I have already paid and my PC says that I can’t get the discount now. However, lots of girls on this forum have managed to get the money back after they paid. Surely the rules for one MYA patient shouldn’t be different from another.

Hi Hunn, PC’s are sales people and Mya want to make as much money as possible because they are a business at the end of the day it’s unfair but prices and treatment varies so much from person to person. You gave to really push and haggle which can be awkward but worth it. If I was you, I’d call my pc and complain about how unfair it is say that if they don’t treat you like everyone else you want your deposit back. Watch how quickly shell call ‘head office’ and say it’s ok for you to have the discount xx

agreed, don’t trust them – they are always selling you. it’s also how the surgeon’s keep their integrity by not talking money or deals… but in return for this it means you do just get a sales person afterwards. I’ve had to complain three times to get the right pricing and paperwork.

We have looked into this for you and we do try our best to help. We got someone to check your notes and it says you heard about us through a magazine. If you have been referred by someone we do rely on patients to tell us this at the initial consultation. There is also this option when you fill in the form on the MYA site. We have no record of you mentioning you were referred by someone so it is hard to get the discount approved. We are currently working on a new referral system that will make the whole process a lot easier as we have had a few people like you saying they have been referred but it is so hard to confirm as they have never mentioned it before.

May moderator I’m in the same situation I told my pc I met a girl in Leeds and she recommended me but I didn’t know her name, then I paid my boobies off and then just before my op I bumped into the girl again and she gave me her name and I contacted my pc to tell her I know the girl who recommended me and she said its too late now as iv paid the full amount…but other girls on here still have managed to get money back after they have paid?

Ive reccommended a few and still not recieved anything…ive even emailed them numerous times and all i get is bs!!!!!!!

If you use ‘refer a friend’, does the friend receive anything?

Mya Moderator – I was recommended by a friend, gave her name at my first consultation with PC but now told that I cant have it because my finance with with FML. Thats unfair! Why am I not entitled to it when everyone else is?? Surely thats a little discriminatory?
