Had my dressing off and the nurse just put sum small strips on my scars and they was coming off in the bath 1 just came off the other was hanging off and my scar bled only a very little bit as that happened to anyone else? Do you think I need 2 go back? Wow I never worry but just can’t help it want them to be perfect!!!!
I haven’t had the surgery yet but I do work in a hospital. Your incisions are still new really, if it was only a very small amount of bleeding I would say that is fairly normal. If it happens again though I would call your PC. Did the nurse give you some more steri strips to put on in case they came off?
Just asked my mum (she’s a nurse – will come in handy when I’m post-op!) and she said it shouldn’t be anything to worry about, just keep it clean and dry.
hi jamie mine were still bleeding up to 6 weks after only a tiny spot nothing to worrie about just dont soak in the bath too long try to keep them dry i think i just take ages to heal all fine now though 10 weeks post op.xx
