Bleeding after rhinoplasty

Hi guys was anyone else still bleeding the day after their open rhinoplasty?

Is it lots of blood? Is it watery? I wore my drip pad for 4-5 days changed it about 2-3 times a day because I had a constant flow of watery blood. If its gushing or anything like that you need to ring the nurse asap but if not it shouldn’t be anything to worry about but still ring the 24 hour nurse if you are concerned x x

It’s really watery yes!! It’s not gushing it’s just like you said dripping quite a lot.. I’ve only just taken the drip pad off so wasn’t expecting it!xx

Yeh you will be fine hun nothing to worry about, I kept trying to take mine off to let the air at it but it would start dripping down my face and felt horrible so hardly took it off for first few days. But if you can get the air to it then it will dry up and stop eventually x x

I left it off for about half hour but there was too much dripping and getting it off was making my upper lip feel sore so I’m going to leave it on today and try again tomorrow! Just can’t wait to start feeling a little more normal xx

The nurse told me I could stop wearing the drip pad the day after surgery – I left it off for a few hours the next day but it was dripping constantly and driving me mad so I had to put a drip pad back on. I wore the drip pads every night for sleeping until two days ago (I’m 11 days post op) and tried to get as much air to it as possible during the day but still wore them on and off for the first 3-4 days x
