Bleeding incision advice

Hey girls I’m 21 days PO and the corner of my right incision bleeds a tad when I get out shower I dab them dry with sterile swab and wash in hibiscrub shower isn’t too hot either just dots of blood on swab when pat dry tempted to send OH to tesco to get some savlon wound wash to spray on them need advice should I be concerned xxx

I would still give the nurse a call honey,just to let them know this is happening,you seem to be doing everything right in terms of looking after yourself,just let them know so this is recorded,she also may be able to give you some advise.xxx

Mine reopened after 6 weeks. Went back to nurse and she put dressings on and said no shower for 4 days. That side eventually healed then the other side came open! I put plasters on that side though and its healed fine now. It seems to be just the ends where the stitches are knotted.

I think infection is the biggest issue.

thanks girls im sure my PC has a sixth sense she rang me this morning and has got the nurse to ring me – going in on thursday for check up – she advised buy some betadine from chemist to spray on incisions up until then thanks for reply girls will let you know how i get on xx
