I’m 4 days post-op and have just noticed some bleeding on my right plaster, is this normal? I have rang the nurse and she said as long as it is dry and not still bleeding this is fine. Slightly worried now! However, I’m feeling fine in myself and liking the new boobs x

Little bleeding shortly after op is normal. If it doesn’t bleed anymore it is fine. Wash the wound to remove the dried blood, be gentle. Only do this if you’re allowed to take your plaster off. Always follow the instructions.

Keep an eye on it though, if it starts bleeding, call your nurse.

    Happy healing.xx

Hi hun – leave them well alone. Do not remove any dressings or wash the wound without being advised to do so by a Nurse from MYA. Last thing u want is an infection xx

That’s great to hear, I’m 1 day post op and started panicking as I’m bleeding a little through the plasters! I will just leave alone then, I think perhaps if you are moving around too much it will bleed!xx

I had bleeding on mine the day before I went to see the nurse at the 7 day check up, she said it was totally fine. Dont let it freak you out just wait for your check up so they can clean it and plaster it up if need be.
