Bloated? any one still boated 2 weeks after op?

Still feeling really bloated 11 days after op with the top half of my tummy puffed out! ANyone else like this? x

Hey grimleycat, gosh you’re still bloated 11 days after op? I’m almost 5 days post-op from ba and uplift and I’m still bloated, I feel so fat! I haven’t had any bowel movement since last wed. Don’t worry though hun it’s from all the anethesia and pain meds. Best advice is to drink lots of water to flush out all the toxins. I’ve been eating plenty of fibre veg and fruit too and still no joy. I’m going to ring nurse tomorrow to see if I can take an laxatives to help move things a long. How you feeling now? Have you settled a bit more now? xxx

Aw honey it’s not that bad, it’s perfectly normal because of all the meds etc. Make sure you ask if you can take any laxatives post-op to help move things along honey…xxx

I’m getting scared! But also really looking forward to it! The week will fly by and before I know it, it will be Friday morning! I’ve gta be there at 7.30!

I think I am having a very similar uplift to u cause one of my boobs is 2 cup sizes bigger and hangs a lot lower than the other so I will have a lot more scarring on that one…is it a lot more painful in one boob than the other for u?

Aw honey I was so scared too, but the nurses were lovely and keep me talking whilst the anthethesist injected me and before I knew it I was asleep! I remember the nurse waking me up saying it was all over!! It only seemed like minutes she was chatting to me!! I feel ok today, still a bit restricted. I had two different operations because of the differing size in my breasts, and at the moment one breast is still higher than the other, it’ll just take a bit more time to settle. I wouldn’t say I’ve been in PAIN, it’s more of an aching pain if that makes sense? My arms have been hurting too. HAve you got anyone to look after you after op honey? I even found that opening doors was difficult and even turning on a tap! I’ll only have a vertical scar underneath one breast and I can’t say one breast is more painful than the other, they both feel the same to me. I’m almost 5 days post op now honey and I’m better than what I was but I’ve still got to be careful. I’m seeing the nurse this thurs to have my dressings removed / possibly re-dressed depending on the healing. Honey make sure you’ve got plenty of books, mags and dvd’s and make the most of your rest! It’s not nice being sat up all the time and if you do get fed up go for a VERY gentle walk!! And drink plenty of water to flush toxins out of system! Enjoy the experience honey!! Can’t wait to hear your story!! xxx

Do u think ur a DD cause ur swollen or do u think you’ll end up that size? The whole size issue has really been playing on my mind all weekend! Although I booked my op in September, my last consultation was suppose to be 7th January but my surgeon had the fly so was the 19th and only had one day to choose!!! So worried now that I’ll be too big. I will ring my pc tomorrow to ta about it I think. Xxxx

You’re going for 380cc now? Between, 120-150cc is one cup size…so if you’re a d in one breast and dd in the other, but having different sizes for your breast to be symetrical, I’d say you’ll end up e/f…but bear in mind that e/f may not look e/f if that makes sense? I’m not sure honey best ring your pc tomorrow and talk it over. It’s a big procedure at end of day and I’m sure you’ll want to end up a size you’re happy with. I’m not sure what size I’ll end up to be honest, in dd sports bra at moment and I’ve noticed bra getting a bit tight last day or two, who know’s hey, I’ll know in a few weeks and let you know! I’ll be happy with dd-e xxx

I’ve gone for 360cc in each.

He said he is going to do the uplift and reduce the excess skin and tissue from the larger one to make them the same before he adds the implant. After the uplift alone I should be a d so I’m worried 360 could take me too big!!! I really wanna speak to him on the phone again! My PC is useless!!

If 120 is a cup that will make me a f! But like u say I will probes look an e cause implants always look smaller!

I took senakot from night 2 and didn’t go until night 5 and that was after having a curry! The senakot i used has been great for getting rid of the bloating though, dual relief one. Stopped taking the pain killers too so this may have also helped things along.

Hey Ros, I’m on day 5 now and still haven’t gone! I’m still feeling bloated but a lot better today so hopefully no more painkillers. xxx

hey hun i was the same! I called nurse whoo sad to come off all my meds, i was fine in no time

Hey I finally had some bowel movement yesterday and today, I decided to come off my meds sunday (painkillers) and even today I think I’m back to normal. Don’t feel bloated at all now! Don’t feel as achey either now xxx

hi ladies only had the op 24 hours ago but serious bloated its awful feels like im pregnant again x

Its the codine in the pain medication that makes you constipated! its horrid! by day 5 i couldn’t eat any more!! lol hope it improves!! xx

awwul be well soon! speak to the nurse and she may reccommend just paracetamol as when i had my op the codine made me constipated and being on so much meds makes u bloated and lethargic so she may take you off anti bs too. just drink lotsa water, peppermint n green tea really helps! and if you can go for a good walk youl feel lots better
