Blood test – help!

Hi ladies,

I’ve seen number of people talk about getting their blood test results through and I’m starting to panic. I had my pre op consultation with the nurse two weeks ago and all she did was weigh me, take my blood pressure and take swabs to test for MRSI. Should I be concerned? My appointment is booked for 4th April which is only 2 weeks away. I will be devastated if it has to be moved.

What are you having done ?

no dont be concerned! i didnt have blood tests either, they only do tests if you have a reason or it, eg medical history! i didnt need them an my op went ahead as planned

Thanks flicky! Was beginning to stress. I’m having a breast enlargement and it’s taken me 5 years to get up the nerve to have it done, I think it will send me overboard if something goes wrong. I will think positively from here on in! Everything is going to go perfectly!!!

what reason do you have to have a blood test?

I’m having rhino and really hoping NOT to have a b.test done as I always freak out!!

I had a blood test coz I had anaemia on my doctors records 4 years ago xx

I didn’t have any bloods done and I’ve suffered with anaemia all my life! My op is in 4 days so guess I won’t be having bloods x

I didnt have blood test and mine was fine. I even had to have an ECG as have a slight heart murmur but that didnt stop surgery either! I wouldnt worry.
