Blood test pre-op

Hi all,

I’ve read on here that some of you who went to other clinics had a blood test at your pre-op appointment with the nurse.

I went to the Chelmsford clinic and they didn’t take any blood just mrsa swabs…

Would have thought a company like MYA would have universal standard procedures so not sure why some of you have had blood taken and I haven’t.

If you know why they take the blood can you let me know so I can follow up with my pc…my op is on Friday!

I didnt have blood taken at my pre op or on my op day xx

I am having bloods done but it’s because I’m anaemic and they have a minimum level that you’re iron needs to be at for the op to go ahead…. They’re just having to check that with me on my pre op day xx

I have a odd haemoglobin blood trait so had tests done but I’m pretty sure it depends on your medical history
