Im having my pre op on 22nd may.. im just wondering.. ppl have said they dont do blood tests.. thats a little alarming to me.. i watched vids today of other ppl with diff places and they had blood tests at their pre op.. why dont mya do this?.. i mean surely.. if u lose a lot of blood and need a transfusion how do they know ur blood type?.. and what about diseases and things.. ofc all their equipment will be fresh but.. i just find it a little odd? Infact very odd as when i had surgery c section with the nhs this was a requirement and if they didnt know this it could have cost me my life as i needed a transfusion xx

They contact your GP to check your medical history so I would imagine they would find out your bloody type then. X
