Body piercing

Has anyone got a bellybutton piercing and was able to keep it in for their surgery? I can’t get mine out! I’ve had it for 15 yrs and am also worried that it will close up if I have it removed at a piercers and then can’t get it back in – I’m not sure I could go through having it re-pierced (I had an anaesthetic last time but they don’t do that now from what I can tell)….

i have the same problem but i managed to squeeze a plastic belly bar in as you cant wear a metal one. xx

I also had a plastic one. If you can’t do it yourself, ask a piercer or someone to change it for you x

yeh they do as long as its fully plastic x

I’ve got a ring in and tried changing it for a bar but I couldn’t open the ring at all, that was put in by a piercer so I’ve got no chance of getting it out without some kind of tool!

maybe go see another piecer hun like belle said x

I had that problem when I had a ring because the ball doesn’t screw on. I used a pair of scissors x

Husband got my nipple ring out with pliers lol I held my breath in case he slipped

i took mine out for my ba, they wont let u keep it in hun, ive put mine back in myself 2day it wont close over hun jus dont leave it out 2 long xxx

I tried scissors but started to get a bit stressed and thought it was safer to give up! royle, did you have a metal one or a plastic one? I’ve heard of people who take them out when they get pregnant and then put it in months later but if I can leave something in there that would be preferable, save me the hassle of trying to get it back in, I’ve always gone to the piercers to have them changed in the past, think I’m a bit squeamish!

Can you do this with tounge?

i had metal 1 hun, really i havent taken mine out 4 12months, n i got mine back in no probs left it out 4 days i was fine hun ul b fine honest xxx

Ive had my belly pierced for over 10 years and took it out when I was pregnant, all I had to do was out a frozen bag of peas on it and push it in, I didnt hurt at all. Im just worried as ive had my tragus pierced in april, and I hate taking it out, that would close really quickly ! Im going to have to find a plastic one for that, my bf had to change it with plyers last time !!

Vickimark, tongue piercings have to come out because they put a tube down your throat x
