Boobie scans with implants…

Hi girls. So this weeks been a strange one as my mum had to go for a routine mammogram and then got called back for a second more intense one and lots of tests, and that weird ‘hole punch’ type thing to do biopsys on n all sorts. ANYWAY, have been feeling awful and guilty that I want a BA and mum could have something wrong or the dreaded ‘C’ word but today after a horrible week of waiting and worrying….results came back and shes all clear with 2 healthy boobies!

Talking to mum about it though has brought up some questions…how do you have a mammogram with implants in?? Coz doesn’t it squish your boob almost flat?! (my mum said she felt like it sucked her boob in so much she thought her nip was gonna pop and it was dragging her face onto her neck! Haha!) Is that safe with implants or do they use a different method?? Just thinking ahead once I’ve had BA, I think I secretly like having stuff to worry about!??

Also, on a side note, I asked mum if she wanted a celebratory ‘all clear’ boobie cake and she said ‘Sod the cake! I’m getting pissed!!!’ haha ;P

Haha your mum sounds like mine haha sod the cake where is the wine! So pleased it was clear! I wonder the same also x

I’m not sure but when I had my first consultation my pc said you have to tell them

U have implants an u either position urself different or they do something different with whatever they do, don’t actually know how mammograms work so beat to ask ur pc xx

Thanks girls! Hmmmm gonna have to do some research on this one. Not that it’s gonna stop me getting a BA but good to know huh! xxx
