boobies blues coming in hard! :(

i was warned about these and although i love my boobs i was not at all prapered for the pain post-op i just wish someone was alittle more honest about how bad it is! and i know each person is different etc but i normaly have a really good pain threshold but it really bad- i dont want to scare any pre-op girls off but please be prapered for whats to come- the aching of my actual boobs hasnt been that bad but the effects of the pain killers and my scars have been awful. my scars must be starting to heal properly today as i keep getting reaaly sharp shhoting pains across them which takes my breath away and has made me cry out in pain once or twice.. the painkillers i was given have caused me to be sick and dizzy and giving me headaches to the point where i cant hold my head up or open my eyes (i didnt know it was my painkillers) but was advised by tina to ring my nurse and my nurse said to change to normal paracetomol which i am doing now so wont no the effects! im really sorry if i scare anyone but i just wish i was a little more prapered for the pain and hope other people get a little more prapered my this post! xxxxx

Aaaw sorry your having a hard time hun, what painkillers you taking? I’ve been taking 2 codeine every 4 hours and paracetemol and that has kept the pain away for me! Although I’m only 1 day post op so there’s still time for it to kick in. Have you got any hot/cold compresses a lot of girls have said these really help ease the pain. Sorry I can’t be of much help but sending u big ((((( hugs)))))) hope it eases soon xx

Honey once the paracetamol kick in you should be a little more comfy,I know people think they are not that strong,but they help with inflammation to,and they are gentle on your tummy,are you eating little and often,I know you wont feel like it if your been sick,but try a little bit of soup,or even a bowl of cereal,make sure you are drinking enough too,is someone looking after you still.It will get better honey,hang in there,xxx

thanks hun, i was fine on my 1st and 2nd day, just yesterday and today, i was taking codine but been advised to stop taking these as they may have caused the sickness and head aches so taking my first lot of paraxetomol now, i just had a little cry too- haha, just want to be better now xx

well my bf had to go back to work today, ive ate a little but just throw it all up.. ive been drinking plenty of water too xx

Hi Babbylou, I’m in so much pain too :(I’m 2 days post op and its awful, its not my scars though its my actual boobs that ache! i hope that by the weekend I will be in less pain! just think it will all be worth it in the end hun I was taking two painkillers at once but that was making me ill so I thenurse advised one painkiller and one paracetomal together and this has helped xx

i completely agree babbylou! i wish i knew how tough this recovery time would be as ive got 3 young children and probably would have prepaired alot more before hand. also im the same as u its the incisions that are the most painful. try taking paracetemol and ibruprofen i found this worked for me and the ibruprofen really helps to bring down swelling xx

Aw babbylou Im sorry your in so much pain hun! Do try cold compresses though they help loads for me. I get weird aches come on in waves in my boobies and shooting pains on my scars too and im day 2. Only just came on really in the last few hours and I feel like I cant take too deep breaths. Uncomfortable as HELL isnt it? At least we’re all in it together hey xxx
