Booked my date – surgeon on hol WTF

OMG I booked for the 30th June, got all my time arranged for being off work and getting my mum to come up …. only to see Gary Traynor last Weds and he said “I’m on holiday” I could have cried….

Anyway that was Weds ….. still waiting for MYA to get me a new date… I’m so fed up now.

Why the hell did your pc book you in knowing your surgeon was on holiday??? I have found there is a huge lack of communication at MYA…I had my 6 week check last week and booked afterwards to see my surgeon in a few weeks time on Mon 23rd in Manchester, I rang yesterday to double check the appoinment time and the receptionist had booked me in on Tues 24th in Liverpool???? Good job I checked!

Well apparently … Oh I dont know… he just said something along the lines of I am on holiday in Ireland that date.

When I mentioned it to my PC (cant blame the PC she showed me his diary and it did not say holiday) she said he had a full days surgery booked for that date, he said he is on holiday for a week so it wont just be me feeling disheartened and fed up. They offered me a date the week before – but I will be in Fuerteventura, unless he fancies flying out and doing suregery on the beach… I doubt it.

I have text her every day and she said she is waiting for Head Office to come back to her.

Just feel so deflated but my implants (when they are done) will inflate me again.

Ahhh right, apologies to your pc then lol…still this shouldn’t happen – like I said, there is a real lack of communication in some clinics…I understand that surgeons need holidays too but like susie said they should be booked well in advance so that no cancellations have to be made to patients! x

I’d have it done tomorrow apart from the fact we go on hol in 6 weeks…..

Lack of communication with the hospital group too, l turned up night before my op to have my consultation. 1, the hospital was not expecting me 2, The surgeon was not expecting me and waited til 9.30 the night before to even see him, you can imagine how l was feeling seeing l was 2nd on his list the next morning to be cut open ha ha lol xx Oh also the car that picked me up was picking me up on the morning of my op. These companies do not have a clue eh!! xx Good luck hun l am sure u will get ur date sorted but l know what ur feelin being left in the dark. xx

Aw hun that’s terrible! It’s not only the rearranging that’s pain in the arse, its also the fact that we psyche ourselves up and mentally prepare too once we have a date set! What sort of date are you thinking of now then? Have you thought about checking the availability of other surgeons? I’ve booked with Helena. Hope it works out xxx

Just want it done as soon as possible to the date that I originally booked….. just wish they wud give me a date…

You must be one unhappy pup. I can’t sympathise with you enough. What a horrible situation to be in.

Hope you hear from them soon. Maybe request your deposit back, see if that gets them moving. Afterall, what do they need it for?
