    Hi Ladies (or Gents),

I am booked in for a TT with Dr Chntarasak on the 11th May and I am extremely nervous, if anyone else has had this procedure and even better, if it was performed by Dr Chantarasak, then I would be really grateful to hear from you.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Hi,

I literally had a tummy tuck last thurs. came out of hospital yesterday. still all bandaged up and wearing the compressure corset so honestly cant tell you what its like yet but it feel really tight which is good!! I had a full tuck due to having loose skin after 2 c-sections. I’ll let you know how it goes next mon when i have the bandages off!!

    Hi Ladies,

Thanks for all your comments. Janeella, hope your BA went well?

Jess, thanks so much for mailing, did you have your TT with Mr Chantarasak? And how are you feeling now?? Im 2 days post op and actually feel fine, although im a little concerned that my compression garment is too high as its up by my ribs when im sitting upright, but other than that, better than expected (not sure if thats a good or bad thing lol!!) Anyway I hope you are recovering well and look forward to hearing from you soon xxx

PS Clare, I say go for it, if you are that unhappy then go for a Consultation and just see what they say, its free so you dont have anything to lose – good luck! x

    Hia…

No I didnt have mine with dr chantrasak, i hear he’s good though. I’m 2weeks and 2 days post op now and starting to fell really fed up about it all. I know that probably sounds really ungratefull to anyone who wants this surgery but I think because I was doing so well initially I thought I’d be all back to normal after two weeks but I now realise why the surgeon said it’ll take 4 – 6 weeks to recover!!

I was meant to go back to work monday (2 weeks and 4 days post op) however I have had a little reaction to the sticky on the dressing and my skin has blistered slightly just in the centre above my pubic hair line so its a little sore there and I need to have a small dressing on for a little bit longer meaning going back to work monday is out of the question, the surgeon did tell me he thought that would be too soon so I’ve arranged to go back the following monday when i’ll be almost 4 weeeks post op.

Its only really the last few days I’ve been able to stand up completely straight which is good because my back was really starting to ache after being all hunched over!! I had to have a lot of skin removed and because my c-section scar was really low nad i had a belly button peircing previously the surgeon had to take from above the belly button right down to my pubic hair line away which he said was a little more than usually hence why i’m feeling it sooooo tight. (I’m sure the outcome will be fantastic though! Who’s going to complain about having a tummy tighter than expected!)

I’m just fed up of being stuck moping around all day… My husband leaves for work at 7.30am as he has to drop the kids off on the way. He doesnt get home untill about 5.30pm byt the time he picks them up on the way home and then he has to get them ready and into bed so it feels like i’m moping about on my own from 7.30am – 7.30pm when the kids go to bed and then we have a couple of hours of moping about on the sofa and then we go to bed!!

Eall my family and friends work all week and its just soooo boring sitting in!

I think its just because I cant really get out and do much that I’m feeling like this, usually i’m busy non stop as i work full time, have two children one is 4 and the other is 1, and i’m usually the one runnign around dropping them off and picking them up etc.

I just feel so useless!! I keep reminding myself that it’ll be worth it as ive hated my saggy tummy for over 4 years since i had my son and now its finally gone (and even though im swollen it looks fab already!).

I think I should have just prepared myself a bit more for the fact that it will take a couple of weeks to get back into everything! When I had my daughter last year by c-section she was ill and in Special care unit so i was up and about straight away so i could see her even driving back and forth the hospital 4 days after the c-section so i guess i just thought this would be the same!!

Any way ranting aside what i guess i’m trying to say is if you are having the op it does take a few weeks to get over! Stock up on plenty of magazines etc as there’s only so much Jeremy Kyle and this morning you can take!

I hated the compression garment toni and i’ve been wearing those magic pants since day 10. They’re much better. I found marks and spencer has a great range, what i did find tho was it was more comfortable to go for one size bigger in the firm support ones as i’m a bit swollen and bruised and its easier to pull them over the sore bits!!!

I suppose thinking about it though i wouldnt change it for the world. I’ve booked to go to Egypt in Sept and cant wait to show off my new toned tummy!

Strange as it may seem I just cant wait to get back to work and back to my “normal” routine around the house etc!!

let me know how your getting on

    Hi Jess,

Thanks so much for your story, its so nice to hear from someone who is in the same sitution as myself.

Yes I totally understand the ‘fed up’ feeling, i’m 9 days post op and feeling very bored, the word ‘cabin fever’ springs to mind!! I’m sorry to hear about your infection, sounds painful, but very glad to hear it was nothing major and that you are now on the mend.

I have my 2nd post op appointment on Monday and really hope that I will be ok to go back to work next week and also to be able to finally have a shower!!!!! Other than the usual soreness, I feel really well, I too have had a C-section so I think this procedure is pretty similar, although with my Caesarean I was up hoovering and out walking on day 3 (very naughty) but I have made the most of it this time and completely kept my feet up, apart from the odd cup of tea making etc.

I will keep you posted on my 2nd post-op and feel free to email if you are bored or need a chat (I know completely how you feel, there’s only so much Facebook and Jeremy Kyle i can take too!!!) My email address is tonib79@tiscali.co.uk.

Take care Jess, spk soon xxx

PS jessolly987, it did hurt, but not enough to put me off and hopefully it will be worth it in the long run xxx

    Hia,

Yea I felt FANTASTIC for the first few days then it hit me lick a ton of bricks!!

I starterd driving again the last few days. I’m 3 weeks post op today! I physically couldnt take any more staying in!

My reaction is healing really well and i should be back in work for a couple of hours saturday then back full time monday which will give me sense of normality back!

I’m so glad i had it done tho it was definately worth it and I’m already looking into liposuction now!!

Hopw your apt goes well xx

Hi all, I’ve just had my tum tuck on the 6th June along.with a BA.there’s nt much discussion on tum tuks on this site, so it’s great to have come stumbled across this thread…even tho i’m a month out of the last conversation. Overall I’m feeling good, considering this damn pressure garment I was given is horrendous!!!!! It’s sooooooooooo uncomfortable. I don’t mind the tightness around my belly, obviously it has a job to do….it’s the unnecessary irritation I get from the rest of it. My garment goes from beneath my breasts all the way dwn to just above my knees and has an area cut out ready for when I need to go to the ladies. It’s this area in particular that’s causing such discomfort, I actually have blisters around my buttocks ( I feel like laughing as I read what I’ve written) so it making the situation harder than it should be……BUT ive just had a ‘mad cow’ moment and like a crazy women I’ve taken a pair of scissors and cut away the leg area…. Omg, what hav I done!!!!! It’s still supporting by op just not murdering my legs in the process. God knows what the nurse is going to say I’m due to see her on saturday morn!!!!!

Well ladies now that I’ve my little moan I can honestly say the tum tuk itself is ok, I’ve had 3 c-sections and had loads of stretch marks so this was my solution. I’m glad I did it, although I’m dreading my 1st.post op meeting with my nurse.. what will she say about my re-design… LOL!
