Just booked in for some Botox and fillers for 2 weeks time.
Going to have some around my forehead to lift my eyebrows slightly and some to plump my lips :-p
Never had it before. What’s it like ?? Xx
I have had botox in forehead recently, virtually painless and takes up to 2 weeks to see the results. The eyebrow lifts look great, it’s very clever. The filler I had was only on the lines from the nose to the ends of my mouth but I had that 3 years ago and that’s still going strong. My sister had the fillers around the tops of her lips to have the smokers lines filled and that worked really well. If you have the lip fillers make sure it’s the termporary one, because if you have a reaction they can inject something straight away to dissolve it x
Ah ok. That’s princess. I’m only 20. Got no wrinkles or anything but just really wanted to try it out. Do u think I should have it in both lips or just the top? As the girl asked me if I wanted both lips on the phone? Lol. That threw me a bit!
Il make sure it’s only temp
Xx
If you have no wrinkles I would get the eyebrows done and nothing else, it won’t hurt to have it anywhere else because botox also stops the muscles being overused and therefore can prevent wrinkles from developing, but you’ll be paying more for something you don’t need just yet! I would guess at your age if you’re having the lips done start with just the top which tends to be the smaller of the 2, as when you’re younger the lips are a bit fuller anyway, but it depends on how your lips look to start with and what you want to achieve. Having not had them myself it’s only an educated guess tho. My friend does mine, he’s got his own practice and trained as a surgeon before transferring to a GP and now running his own company, so I trust him 100%, and he always says he starts smaller and would rather top it up than do too much in one go.
Yeah that sounds good. I think il just try the Botox a go with the forehead area. See how I get on. Thanks for your help princess x
I love reading threads like this find it all so fascinating,xx
I wouldn’t of known about the Tempory one and being able to dissolve it and reverse it if I hadn’t of posted it on here.
Xx
ive had botox about 4 months ago completely painless quick and no brusing
works wonders xxx
My friend who does my Botox told me about it, Lesley ash had the permanent ones in her lips and that’s what happened when she got allergic reaction, so you should never have that one first time, I think the temp one is reversed by some sort of citric acid that just naturally breaks it down. That said, the temp ones I had have lasted 3 years without needing top up so worth using that one rather than the permanent one anyway!
Am a huge Botox fan, am v lucky as my friend does all my treatments at cost, he’s done all the reaearch for me on my BA and lipo as well, is great to have someone in the know!
That’s really goose. My mums had it before and I’ve watched it being done as well. It looked a bit painful she was tapping her feet together lol. And bled a little to.
If it’s over quick then why not I suppose. I’m really looking forward to it. Am I right in thinking it gives u a shiny complextion. Like a more moisturised skin look?? And also helps to stop excessive sweating to? Or is that just when u have it under the arms??
Xx
My friend had it under her arms for the sweating. I haven’t noticed any shine on my forehead and it doesn’t stop me sweating when I go to gym so apart from having smooth forehead everything is same as before. What I forgot to say earlier tho is that when i had the fillers I had to use a cream to numb area before, it’s a bigger needle than Botox. My sister said her lips did hurt even with the cream but the Botox needles are so tiny you barely feel them, although my friend changes needles every 4 or so injections, if they dont do that the needles can get blunt and may cause some discomfort x
I’ve had my crows feet done twice in the space of 12 mths and I can’t fault it. Just wish it would last longer! Went to a different place both times. One of the docs used a numbing cream and I didn’t feel a thing, but without it hurts less than having your eyebrows threaded! For the previous occasion I used a Groupon deal. You save so much money, just make sure you do your research if you do. Having Botox round my eyes has not affected how much I sweat. But my complexion round that area improved within a couple of days.
While we’re on the topic, Has anybody had derma-roller Treatment or a Skin Peel? I was wondering if a peel would treat slight acne scarring aswell? Or whether I would have to fork out for both?!? Not too keen on the idea of the derma-roller!
xx
I’ve had a light peel before and that cleared up my mild acne scarring, I now use the jan marini cosmaceuticals which are prescription only face creams, soaps, etc and have a mild peeling agent in them, this has done an amazing job on my complexion so haven’t had peels again. Depends on the level of scarring I would say as to how muc you’d need. Any reputable place should give you a free consultation, I know my friend does and he won’t push for a stronger peel unless you really need it which is why I had the lowest one. If you’re in the London area I can give you his details, he is fab and does not use anything he hasn’t tested himself x
