Has any experienced ‘bottoming out’? I’ve had a really strange feeling underneath my right implant for a few days now, almost like I can feel the bottom of it fold over when I slouch or lean over? Terrified it could be the start of bottoming out 🙁 xx
I have this in both breasts, it’s been there for a few weeks (im 6 weeks post op 7 on monday) my nurse felt it was granulation and wasn’t concerned it did initialy subside a little on the left but it’s been there continously on the right, also my breasts are still very firm not moving at all, there not really any softer now than week 2, im still hoping it might be some kind of internal swelling or scar tissue but it’s not lumpy like scar tissue it’s very smooth and in the perfect shape of the implant, also my scars are high up from the crease, such a worrying time but i have a great surgeon!! so just looking forward to seing him so he can put my mind at rest or confirm if there is a problem, he’s slotted me in for next tuesday even though he was fully booked so im very happy with that, has yours just suddenly felt like this? Is everything else ok apart from that? xxx
Oh Claudine! I hope he gets it sorted for you! Has it been confirmed as bottoming out? What you’ve described sounds similar to how mine feel! They do look a bit better today but the feeling is so weird! It literally feels like my implant rubs on me if I lean over? Fingers crossed it’s internal swelling 🙁 xx
Try not to worry Nic if you have no other problems (i know thats easier said than done) to be honest from what your describing it does sound like maybe one of yours is settling faster than the other, i was quite confident that’s what was going on with me as my right one keeps changig shape and having a bulged look about it but it can go from looking like that to perfect overnight!
No it hasn’t been confirmed whatsoever, my nurse felt it and said it did feel like implant underneath but it was important to remember that it could also be swelling from the internal stitches, she said she didn’t want me to worry but she was going to email my surgeon to inform him, she also said straightaway she would look for his soonest appointment because allthough it could be nothing i needed reassurance and also said they were overly firm for 6 weeks post op,
At the time she looked he had nothing in his diary but she emailed him and he replied within the hour to say squeeze me in to his diary next week, ive had some extra pain suddenly start up again too that i havent felt since week 2-3 but that could easily be nerve pain, im totaly numb from just under the nipple to to the bottom of the breasts (but again thats perfectly normal).
I dont understand my incisions either there really high but i suppose that could also potentialy be down to swelling, i was seriously freaking out when i was thinking how long till i see him but now i have my appointment im honestly totaly chilled about it, you know when you said about leaning forwards i think that is totaly normal too Nic, for most women this early on they will feel quite allot of rippling if the lean right forwards so the breast is bearing the weight.
Do you have a pic of what your concerned about or is it not visible in an image? xxx
Yea let’s hope with both got internal swelling! Because as you say, they’re still pretty firm so probs haven’t had a chance to ‘bottom out’ maybe? I did email my nurse a few aweeks ago and she said it’s likely to be internal swelling, it’s just the ‘folding’ feeling at the bottom which makes me panic! It feels like the bottom of the implant tho 🙁
I haven’t got a photo, you can’t really tell if you try to take a photo, I feel like they look fine from the front. I can just physically feel it?
How are yours feeling today? Is the unevenness starting to settle any? Ive done a comparison pik and I didn’t realise how much they have actually changed! Put my mind at rest some what 🙂
Let me know what your doctor says! I’ll let you know what my nurse says later 🙂 hope you’re ok! X
Hey Claudine! Just thought I’d let you know the nurse said it is just internal swelling! The strange feelings/ folding I can feel is the numerous layers of scar tissue i.e the skin and the muscle etc settling in and rubbing on each other and that really! Feel much more relaxed now! Fingers crossed it’s the same for you too 🙂 cx
Hi Nic so sorry im just replying i never got a notification for this???
Aww im so pleased for you that’s great news! Hope it’s the same for me!! Mine is visible but it’s not obvious looking straight at me but from looking underneath at it you can see the swelling and see the scars are pretty far up, there still uneven some days is not too bad then other days very noticable one is bulging outwards, theres only 24hrs between these 2 pics so they change quickly, hope your swelling starts to go down soo Nic! 🙂
Will pist a pic if it will let me xxx
I hope yours is just swelling too, it does seem similar to mine you know Claudine! With bottoming out the nipples end up positioned very high and point upwards? Where’s the internalmswelling sort of makes them point out which is what my right boob is doing and how you describe yours!! That’s what my nurse told me 🙂 maybe yours is slightly more prominent due to the over granulation as well? I think they look fab and still slightly swollen!! Fingers crossed it is nothin more serious but I really don’t think they look like they’re bottoming out! It’s hard not to worry and think the worst! Not long long until your appt now… you’ll feel much better after it when you know what’s what for definite 🙂 xx
Hi girls. My right boob looks exactly the same as yours Claudine I’m hoping mine isn’t bottoming out. Did you get an answer with what was wrong?! Xxx
Thanks allot Nic thats made me feel a bit better 🙂
Yes i know the nipple would usualy point upwards so that did confuse me, they have actualy softened a little more now but still very hard i can’t really move them so they still won’t go into a bra but they are a bit softer to touch, thanks again for your reply xxx
@sophdefoex
Hi Sophie, no ive not seen my surgeon yet im there at 4 tomorrow so will update when i get home, hopefuly it’s all just normal settling but taking it’s time, are your incisions in your crease girls? Or higher up the bust? Im hoping it’s just swelling making them ride high and they will drop back down, my gap still feels huge but think thats just because there so firm, feel like im all side boob it’s getting on my nerves i can feel them sticking in my arms all the time xxx
Just wanted to mention too ive had quite allot of pain this week, totaly managable and im not needing pain killers but it is the same types of pain and in the same places that i had it during my recovery (like soreness in the sternum, a tight stretching feeling, and sharp stabbing pains throughout the day that come and go) im taking this as a good sighn though with it being pain re-visited that it’s a continuation of healing xxx
