Hi all, can anyone recommend where I can go to get measured and fitted for a bra? I’m just over 9 weeks post op and went for my first fitting at boux Avenue yesterday. But left feeling very disappointed and disheartened about the look of my boobs in a bra! I want something that will lift me together and give me a cleavage!! Was devastated when I told this to the woman in the shop and she brought me chicken fillets!!!!!!!! Please help x

When I was 6weeks po I first went to Victoria’s Secret. I think they’re sizes run small, as I was measured at a 30DD. I also went to Boux Avenue the same day but just got a push up bikini, they measured me the same. I heard Debenhams is pretty good, they have a wide selection of luxury bras. I’m not a fan of M&S bras but if you’re looking for cheaper and comfortable bras it’s good.

I went to M&S to get measured.. They do a good selection of un wired bras. They are quite basic but comfortable for the first few weeks out of a sports bra… I then brought Ann summers bras in the sizes they said.. They fit really well so I guess their measurements are pretty accurate. I did manage to find one M&S non wired bra that actually looks quite good. I’ll try and find the name.. Victoria secrets and Boux Avenue both said their sizes are different… I measured an E in M&S and an F in Boux Avenue… I think Victoria Secrets was a DDD from memory.. I did buy an in wired bra from Boux Avenue but I found it really squashed them down… they said I was a 30 back when everywhere else said I was either 32 or 34… Try a few places.. The shops I’ve been measured by have all been really helpful and have let me try on as many as I like… xx

Ooo thanks! If you could find the name of the one from M&S that would be great! Will deffo try them for a fitting. I was measured a 32F in Boux Avenue but not happy with the look of them in the bra. Do Victoria Secret do fittings or would you recommend getting sized somewhere else and trying a few myself at Victoria secret? Xx

I’m not sure if Victoria secrets do fittings.. I told them the size Boux Avenue gave me and she went by that… I told her it felt tight so she went from 30 to 32… I’ve attached (hopefully) the M&S bras… The one on the left is really comfortable.. it looks better on too!… It’s really hard 6 weeks post op trying to find a bra that looks good but is also comfortable and supportive still… My nurse also said don’t buy too many at this stage as they will probably change size again in a few more weeks… I don’t know if that’s the case xx
