So I’m 6 weeks post op tomorrow & can’t wait to wear the bras that I got on Sunday for my birthday off my mam. I’d went and tried on 34E’s & they fit so that’s what she bought.
I went into Ann Summers on Friday though & they never had a 34E in a bra that I liked so I asked the woman for one & she said she would measure me to see I was definitely that.
So when she measured me she said I was a 34D. I almost died. I wore 34C/D before my op & knew straight away that it couldn’t be right, so she got me a 34DD bra then she said the back was too big and the cup was too small so she got me a 34E to try (which is what I originally thought I was) & a 32F. The 32F fitted the best but the cups were still too small & the back still didn’t seem to fit right…… Can anybody tell me is the bit in the middle of your cups meant to rest against your skin? Because on none of my bras is it anywhere near me?? But I also seem to find that my boobs are too close together to fit into bras properly? :S I have one pic on here with a 34E bra on but you can’t really see what I’m trying to say
So anyways, to cut a long story short, if I measure a 34D should I be wearing that size? If not, what size am I meant to be?? Feel as though my bra size doesn’t exist atm!! Do you’s think this has something to do with having moderate profile implants?
Also just put a 34E bra on now to try and my nipples seem to be trying to escape but mine are quite low down so I really don’t understand :S
Please help girls! Did anybdy else have trouble finding bras that fit good to start off with? My boobs are quite soft now & I think they’re in the place that they’re meant to be. Thinking I should maybe be a 34F but I tried a one on & was hugeeeee on me
xxxx
Bras are meant to fit in the middle but not on everyone as it depends on your rib cage – they told me that in Bravissimo. Mine have never fitted flat on my chest and they dont now after having implants.
I kind of have the same problem as you I got measured at Bravissimo as a 28ff in some styles and a 30G in others!! So when I ordered these sizes from Boux Avenue they didnt fit, were really uncomfortable so I sent them back.
I think its just a case of getting measured all the time which is a bit annoying when you want to buy new bras!
Im just desperate to get mine in good fitting ones so they dont droop over the years.
hey hun, the bit in the middle should rest against your skin, if it isn’t you are wearing a too bigger bra, maybe try a 32. every shop seems to measure you differently aswell, especially ann summers. i would recommended trying loads of different sizes on until you find a comfortable one that gives the right support. Debenhams tend to be quite good with measuring though just so you have a better idea. do you mind if i add and have a look? also with the 34e too fit and 32f too small, if could all be on the shape and style of the bra, some styles never fitted me before xx
You will prob find you will be a different size in different places I’d reccomend going to debenhams or la senza as they don’t measure over bust they do it by fittings of the bra. I had the same problem in ann summers she looked at me n said u look about an E then measured me and said oh your cumin up as a DD but then said but a can tell.for a fact DD is not even gonna fit u, so she fetched F’s in which did fit fine but the backs felt funny and as u have mentioned the bit in the middle between the boobs underneath didn’t touch the skin it stood off. So I went to debenhams n lasenza n they were all fine, debenhams said 30FF/G and la senza said 30G n the fits were fab xx
Thanks girls, just so confused how when she measured me she said I came out at a 34D!!
The 32 bra still didn’t make the front of the bra sit against my skin either megsx87 so maybe missparkerclarke is right when she says that it doesn’t have to? It’s all so confusing!
I’ll add you now megsx87 xxx

Try Bravissimo too, they dont do it with a tape measure, they do it by looking at you and they are pretty spot on!
Ooh Im going to try Debenhams after Beckies reply
Where do bravissimo? Or is there just a bravissimo shop? As I don’t think I have a one near me xx
Om measuring a 34d at mo, only look bout a c tho but thats all i wanted anyway
Are M&S ‘full cup support bra’ s’ as good as sports bras? Anyone? Xx
Sophie yours look amazing! I’d be so happy if mine looked closer together like yours instead of practically needing a taxi to get from one to the other! I am hoping as they continue to settle that the gap will be bridged! Haha! I would love to be a 34E but don’t think it’ll be the case unfortunately. Got my 6 week check tomorrow so will go get measured after. It’s so confusing though with all the different shops and brands! Mental how they all come up so differently!
x
This may sound like a stupid question but its my 6 week check next week so looking forward to getting measured. Just wondering if I need to mention the fact I have implants or not?
I’m assuming it doesnt matter… ? x
Just mention just incase as u do tend to need a bigger size than u look. U don’t have to.tho if u don’t want xx
Hi sophie…i went 2a few but debenhams was really good. They even got the size 2fit flat in the middle, where as ann summers said cos i had boob job i probably wont ever get a bra 2fit flat against my skin in the middle. Try debebhams. Can i add u?. X
Fizzystan yours look amazing! I bet you’ll be surprised at what you measure today! What size implants did you have again? Let us know how your 6 week check goes
I honestly can’t get a bra to fit in the middle because my boobs are in the way so that’s why I wish they were further apart! I’ve just added you now lindaxx xxx
