bra….when?

does anyone have any idea if i could wear a bra just as a one-off for a special occasion? i was told not to wear one for six weeks and by the time i’d like to wear one i will be 5 weeks and 3 days so i would be nearly there. i’ve also noticed that some people have written on the forum that the surgeon has told them to not wear one for a further two weeks, which means 8 weeks braless. i’d just like to wear a bra that would push them together a bit instead of just hanging loose. does anyone have any comments to make, i’d welcome any advice xxx

hi pj, i had my op on friday and i go to magaluf for my hen party weekend on the 27th may which wil 4 weeks after op. i have been told that for a couple of days wearing a bikini or no top at all under a dress etc will be fine, the reason they say not is incase u feel uncomfy,or incase they rub yr scars etc. i have a few friends who av had the same op, and 1 of my friends went out every saturday night after 4weeks with a normal bra on etc. xx she had hers done 3 yrs ago now,xx

im was a 34c, and had 380cc overs, xx im only a size 8, and 5ft2, xx

i had my op on thursday, 1st april and i was totally flat – no exaggeration. i had 300 unders which was the maximum i was allowed. Now i’m around a 34C and i am 5ft 6 and 9 and a half stone. i couldn’t let anyone see me without a thick padded bra, otherwise i dread to think what people would have thought about me. it’s funny really cos i am now what you started off as, but i am so happy with my shape now, maybe i could do with being a tiny bit bigger, but no way am i complaining as there are so many more serious things in life to worry about and i am so thankful to mya for changing my life. you are nowhere near too old for magaluf by the way. so how are yr boobs at the minute do they feel fine without a bra ? are u still sore at all ? xx just asking as yr 4 weeks post op and thats how far along il be wen i go away. xx

:bigsmile:for about a week now i have felt as though i have had these boobs all my life, i’m rubbish at explaining things…what i’m trying to say is that they are very comfortable and i feel ready to do anything now so you will have such a good time in magaluf. they have gone so much softer and a nice shape. i feel like i could do proper excercises and stuff but know i’m still not allowed until 6 weeks apparently, in other words you will be in ideal shape for a great hen party. GOOD LUCK!!!

how long after is it before i can have a proper shower and wash the area that was cut ? xx

the nurse told me at my seven day check that if i got my scars wet to just dry them with a hair dryer. the surgeon didn’t seem bothered if i got them wet cos he said they are waterproof. i was still very careful though. Give it about a week to be on the safe side. a part of one of my scars started to ooze a bit of puss the day after i got it wet, but i dabbed germolene on and it was fine after that. hope this has helped xxx
