I’m currently looking into getting a breast enlargement with MYA in the near future and I’d love to hear your stories. How many appointments/consultations did you have to have before surgery? What did these all entail? Has anyone applied for MYA finance? I want to know everything you think would have been beneficial to know at my stage? Can’t wait to hear your stories girls…

    Hi Beth!
I had my first consultation yesterday and it went really well… I’m so scared of thinking of having my boobs done but I walked out of there feeling so excited and not so scared atal. and she was really nice and made me feel not nervous.
I’ve got an appointment in February to see the surgeon I’ve chosen which is a lady and she will tell me what size and if the implant will go under or over the muscle.
Fianance option I chose was to pay half of the money and then then rest monthly and its interest free! Which is great as I’ve been saving.
I can’t wait to take the nests steps to my dream!
    Any questions just ask!

    Hi Nicky! @nicky
Ahhh it’s so lovely and exciting to hear how well everything went, if I can take anything from thisw forum it’s definitely that MYA PC’s know exactly how to do their job and they do it well.do you mind me asking the name of your surgeon? Also, did you have to meet certain criteria in order to pay via MYA finance or is this just required when you spread the payment over so many years + interest? Thanks very much for the information, I really appreciate it xx

Hey, I had my initial consultation on the 15th January in Cardiff. I was told all about the implants (what they’re made out of and why etc), all about what to expect from surgery, all about the finance options and I was asked a couple of questions ( how long have I wanted this. why, what size am I now, what size would I like to be).
My op is booked for Feb 20th and I haven’t even met my surgeon yet! I meet Mr Singh on the 30th of Jan and that’s when he’ll examine me and we’ll talk about what size implants, where they’ll be placed (overs/partials/unders) etc. That day is also my pre-op assessment, which is when the nurse takes your blood pressure, height, weight etc to make sure you’re okay for surgery.

For the finance there’s a couple of criteria, which I can’t remember off the top of my head!! I know one of them is you have to be over 18 for the finance. Mine is in my mother’s name as I get paid cash, so because I don’t have money going into my account every month, I wouldn’t get accepted for finance. I chose to pay half upfront and the rest interest free over 10 months but you can also pay 10% as a deposit then the rest over a longer period of time.
I’m sure some of the other girls on here will know the criteria for finance better than I do haha xx
