I saw Mr Fallahdar wed and he was worried about my mother having had breast cancer, he has suggested i go for a mammogram before i continue. I’m only 27 but my mother died around this age, does anyone know anything about this?

Hi 1982kate, my sister was also diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 30 and needed a mastectomy. She is now 39 and fighting fit but because of her history (I only have 1 sister)I do have to start mamograms earlier than most people. I actually found a lump in my armpit about 8 months ago and was sent for a mamogram but I was fine, the lump was gone by the time I went (probably a pulled muscle or something from the gym)anyway I had my ba on Tuesday but I would definately recommend you have a mamogram prior to having surgery, just to be on the safe side, it is free on the NHS.

So sorry that you lost your mother to this awful disease.
