Hi there ive been reading lots of ways that surgeons measure breasts to determine saggyness. Is it true they go from the notch of neck to centre nipple??

Also how do you stand for this..ie…arms back very straight??

this might sound mad lol but just wandering as dont want uplift ;0 XX

i’ve had an uplift and ba 7wks ago….best thing i ever did!!

anyway, my surgeon measured from the collar bone ( the one you can feel sticking out on either side of the bottom of your throat) down to my nipple….hope this helps xx

oh right…i thought that was the procedure..How did you measure up in cms then??

i measured from the bottom of collar bone to the nipple is 21cm

Hiya, they measure from the sternal notch (the indent in the middle of the neck), diagonally to the nipple. If the measurement is more than 8 inches (21 cm), you will be classed as having breast ptosis (droopiness). Whether you need an uplift or not will depend on the severity of the ptosis and your surgeon will advise on this. Sometimes if it’s not too bad they may suggest having a large implant to give a bit of a lift. Hope this helps! x
