Hi I am new to here but would really like some help. I saw my pc Julie today and I saw her really fast (rang at half one and saw her at half four the same day). I wonder if anyone has had breast reduction surgery carried out by Mr Mounir or Dr Giannitrapani and what they thought. Also not sure what size to go to as they are so big. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Update – I have booked my surgeon consultation with Dr Mounir for Wednesday 9th September and would like to know if anyone has had a breast reduction carried out by Dr Mounir. I want to get the surgery done soon as I have been trying to get it done for 19 years with no luck. Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks

    Hi Elizabeth
I had different surgeon but I have heard fantastic things about Dr Mounir. I am nearly a year post op from my reduction, I was a JJ and I’m now a DD. I can honestly say that it is the best thing I have ever done and I’m sure you will feel the same.

Thanks Zoe. It has been 19 years just trying to get this far!! Hopefully when I see Dr Mounir I will have some good news!!

Hope you don’t mind me asking Zoe but when you went for your surgeon consultation did they tell you that you had to lose weight before they would do the surgery as that is a stumbling block I have been coming across for the past 19 years. I have lost a stone but as they always seem to change the amount I have to lose. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

To be honest, I was told that I was a little heavier than I probably should be but I knew that. It made no difference whether or not I could have my procedure though.
I weighed somewhere over 11 stone at my first consultation and I’m only 5″2. I wasn’t asked to lose weight but I did say I’d like to lose a little before I had my operation – I lost nothing before my procedure. It’s only now I’ve had my operation that I’ve started losing weight.

The NHS always say “Lose Weight” when it comes to breast reductions. The first time I approached them about one, they told me to lose three stone which just wasn’t realistic! It’s part of the reason I went private because I knew the NHS were never going to help.

I would always recommend going private for procedures like this, the care is impeccable.

Hi Zoe many thanks for your message. I am hoping for good news next Wednesday. Hoping to get the surgery done this year. Fingers crossed!

Elizabeth, I am in the same boat. I went to NHS a few years ago asking about breast reduction as I am a GG/H and they told me to lose 2 stone and said my cup size would probably go down anyway – it didn’t at all. I’ve now put the weight back on 🙁 but was worried about private clinics possibly refusing me too?

Private clinics won’t refuse you. I was the same, I lost weight years ago and my breast size did not change.

    Hi Zoe,

Hope you don’t mind me contacting you. I am the same height as you and similar weight pre op. I am a G cup and looking to go down to a DD. I just wondered if you had any before and after pictures you wouldn’t mind sharing?
Do you have any advice at all? Are you breasts nice and ‘pert’ now?
    Thank you!!!
