button up tops? when can you lift your arms above your head?

hi, was just wondering how long you have to wear button up or zip up tops for after your ba?
when have people been able to lift their arms above their heads to get tops on lol?
just wondering cos im gonna get some button up tops but i need to know how long im gonna be wearing them for

hi ya,im 10days post op, and last nite i managed to get a vest top over my head..but…i cant take it off! so last nite i had to sleep in it, and im gunna have one more attempt to pull it off over my head,if not,ill have to cut it,lol!! i really hope its not much longer till getting dressed and undressed is no longer an issue.

I have seen lots of button up tops in H&M quite cheap, so am going 2 get a few next week, itLs meant to be a while before you can lift arms properly, especially with unders!

Hi! I wore a normal top coming home from the hospital. The only thing that I wore that was buttoned up were my pj’s!
I think everyone is different though.. I had overs and they arent supposed to be as painful as having unders so that might be why…??

i think your right ladies,i had unders, and its been very difficult putting arms up, i did get told by a friend tho that you have to try and stretch your arms up at least once a day to avoid stiffening up, but i really dont know how true that is?? xx itsquite painful ;(

I had my BA last Friday and by the Tuesday morning I could lift my arms above my head and was wearing my normal tops x

oo il go have a look in h&m thanks! i didnt really want to spend loads on the tops cos im already skint from the op haha and i dont know how much il wear them once im fully healed

iv also got to get a dress with buttons or a zip cos im meant to be going to a party 5 days after my ba im just scared in case anyone hugs me or bangs into me ha! xxx

i had unders and the day after the op i found it a little annoying to get tops over my head but a couple of days after i had no problem wat so ever.x

i had unders hun and Ive been in normal tops since day 2 really xx

hurrah!!! im alive, and so is the top!!! lol!!! i managed to get it off but god did i have to bend and turn in weird positions!! i shoulda videod it, it looked kinda funny, ha ha xxx

I’m one day post-op for partial unders and think I must be really lucky as I can fully lift my arms up with no pain at all. x
