Right, so if I have to go through a re-op I may as well try again for the look I want!

I am 5’2″ 8 stone 10 with a medium build. I had 335 and 365 high profile. My boobs are wide but I feel they are ‘flat’ looking – I would like my boobs to look ‘fuller’ – I’m considering ‘extra high profile’ as they project more.

Some girls say yes this will work but others say extra high are narrow implants and therefore only used on very tiny girls sized 6-8!!!!!

Confusing!!!! Any larger girls had extra high profile? And was this your choice or surgeons? What were your reasons for choosing and are you happy with result?

Sorry for the essay but obviously wanna get it right this time.

    Thanks xxx

Well I’d like slightly bigger cc but more projection.

What size did you have? Did you choose to have xhp or did your surgeon recommend it?

It would make more sense to me that larger projection implants would be suited to ‘bigger’ girls, because a smaller implant on a less petite girl would surely not make much difference?!?! Mr Singh described me in my consultation as ‘broad’ and then suggested the xhp for me ‘as I could take them being bigger’ – not the most complimentary thing to say but proves the point I think! Also, given your last results with the implants they used they’ve already proved that the last choice of implants they made for you was wrong x x

That’s right. Well I’m in to see my surgeon next Monday! I’m guessing I’ll be offered re op so trying to get my facts right as I may as well go a bit bigger and get the look I want! x

I agree Princess. I don’t think the staff at mya have a clue what they’re talking about tbh!!!!

I was told recently by someone there that as the xhp are ‘narrower’ they are specifically for girls with tiny frames as the high profiles are too wide for them! x

I think people think they are only used on really petite girls because if really petite girls want large boobs and lots of CC and they have a small chest width it is litrally the only way the CC’s can fit in! so people percieve them as only for small girls when there not at all, ive heard of loads of people different shapes and sizes having them!

    Just my input :) x

See I have been doing a lot of researching and they say low profile is better for broader girls as they will fill the breast width better and give a better cleavage (however you will see more fullness’s near your armpit too), high profile or xhp’s are for smaller framed women as their breasts are usually not as wide apart. It all depends on your BWD and rib cage measurements though, and it’s hard to measure yourself..I have tried and got an approx measurement of 17 which is quite large. You don’t take into account your breast tissue.

I had hp’s and I am pretty sure after doing a lot of reading I should have had moderate or even low profiles as I have wide breasts with a large gap but also had a lot of breast tissue to start with.

Good luck chic, let us know how you get on.xxxx

See I was never even measured by my surgeon and have no idea what BWD is?

Now I was told by my pc “you have such a good surgeon he knows just by looking at you what you need” I trusted this at the time but I shouldn’t have! My result has always been disappointing! If I really have to have a re op then I may as well go slightly bigger right? I want fuller boobs but just don’t know whether I need to decrease the diameter slightly and increase the projection quite dramatically (xhp) or just increase both diameter and projection slightly and stick to high profile!

    God only knows…. x

Niki – from the research I have done over this last few days I agree with what you’re saying about the width! I think most surgeons are offering high profile as ‘standard’ without looking at the bigger picture!

Tonesx – that makes sense thanks x

You can still measure it now, what I did was hold an eyeliner and a lip-liner, one flat against my side (squashing the breast, as it about your chest width and not bresat tissue) and held another one in the middle of my chest. I then moved forward and draw two dots on my mirror, then I measured it :) mines 17!!! You can also do it with two pieces of card and get someone to measure the gap. The surgeon should use one of than caliper thingy’s like the ones you use to measure body fat by pinching your skin, mine didn’t do that!! xx

Niki I don’t really understand what you mean. Sorry, I think my heads mashed with it all! At the end of the day we should be advised better, it shouldn’t be down to us to work all this out!!!

I don’t have much of a gap as my boobs are quite close together really and I can push them together very easily! x

I can push mine together they just look like they aren’t getting on very well when I take my bra off lol!! xxx

    I’m sooooo confused right now!!!!!

If your gap is small now the last thing you need is wider implants! Your PC can’t comment on the type of implants you need as its not their place at all!

I meant exactly what nikki said, just didnt really know how to say it without mentioning BWD which nobody has heard of!! Basically in america they always seem to measure this to see exactly what size implant can fit into a patient, and not just the ‘oh you look like 380s would fit’ like us in england seem to get :S And they also consider the different profile implants to achieve the look you what.

So tracy is your issue just projection? If it is, you should maybe have a look at XHP’s which are the same width as your implants now and see how much more projection they have? However if you want your boobs fuller at the top (which im sure i remember you saying you do) I think yal have to go with a fairly bigger implant?

I feel like i have learnt everything whilst looking into my BA! haha this is just my opinion by the way but obviously it might help you look into sizes and stuff and projections of implants. xx

Yeah Tonesx my issue is I have no upper pole fullness. Plus I know I could carry off bigger too although don’t wanna be too much bigger, I just want ‘fuller’ breasts!

Princess76 knows her stuff and she says the xhp will achieve this. If I go for xhp I will lose approx 0.5 in diameter but gain 0.8 in projection so I just don’t know if this will be the right thing to do!

The other girl said by increasing the diameter this will make my boobs fuller but I don’t think my boobs need to be any wider!!!! God I’m confused!!! x

They seem to streets ahead in America!!! xxx

I had no upper pole pre op and now mine are very round all over, a lot of upper pole! The width on my 400s was just right, even tho I’m a size 12-14, I couldn’t have gone any wider. Any less projection and I don’t think they’d look as round.

    Menu

Its nothing to do with dress size hun, implants should also be based on the width of your breast not including the breast tissue (BWD) and chest (you measure from where your boob crease ends under your armpit, under your boobs all the way round to where the other boob crease ends, this is your chest size)In some cases even women with a small dress size can still be broad on top, the same as some larger dress sized women can be smaller. Thats why you need to be measured, apparently as a rule of thumb the base diameter of your implant shouldn’t be much smaller than your BWD.

I think it really does depend on the person and what you want. Do you have any pics Princess and did you have an uplift? xxx

Thanks Niki. I’m a strange one haha as although I wear size 8 clothing on top I think I have a medium build – I’m broader than my friend who is a size 12!!!

I’m going to ask Mr T and ask him to measure me just so I know!

Have u decided yet whether to go back? x

You see, I was told that I would need the narrowest implants, so i presume higher profile due to the fact that I have hypoplasia of the lower breast around the outside (very little tissue), so narrower implants would help reduce rippling/visibility of the implant. I don’t have a tiny frame, am a 32 back size. The surgeon measured me too.

So, it seems that xhp are not only for slim girls then? x
