Calling all ladies who have had boob job – I have a nipple question!

Hey girls

I am booked in for ba next month but I was wondering whether you have the same nipple sensitivity after ba? Do they go numb and if so is it permanent?

My nipples are now really sensitive, and can be sore from time to time, and I am a year pos op, also i dont have full feeling in my boobis either. Hope this helps

Thanks. Does this upset you that you have lost sensation? I’m scared I will no longer feel them once they are done!

hi girls, im 2 weeks post op and i have experienced over sensitive nipples. they hurt from the sports bra i have to wear (hoping that KY jelly will help this) and i have sensations arounds boobs mainly on top and around, still numb underneath (above scar) skin is very sensitive to touch atm and with my nipples, even being in the shower can hurt them if they are directly in the way of the water! hope this helps if anyone has experienced this?? xx

I am 6 days post op and yesterday my husband fondly touched them while he was washing me and they were really sensitive. Too early to say for me I guessed, but we are all different so don’t get put off.

Im a year post op! Although everyones different, my nipples at first were very sensitive sometimes too much they became a little sore but trust me this goes with time. I remember being numb just above my scar area for quite some time too but I got full sensation back so I wouldnt worry x

Hi i use breast feeding nipple cream for my soar nipples lol it really helps with soar nipples. my nipples are fine now 5 weeks post op. altho sometimes if i knock them they get really soar, but the feeling definately stayed for me, it was just the senstivity i couldnt handle early days post op.

Hi niki, I’m a year post-op now and I definitely dont have the same level of sensitivity in my nipples, and certain patches of my breasts still feel a bit numb (mainly underneath just above where the incisions were). I dont want to put you off though, it was still the best decision I’ve ever made and not everyone is the same, some people say theyve felt no difference x

Hi all, I am so glad I read your posts, I am post-op 17 days and my nipples have been so sensitive and sore and even the shower hurts as Kelz said, I have nipple ointment from the chemists (which worked wonders when I breast fed) but the thought of putting my bra on is a painful nightmare but now I know that it seems to be normal I feel better already and will hang on… Thanks girls… xx
