    Hi girls

Can I ask how long it was before you got back into your running post op? It’s 5 weeks and 3 days since my op and I’ve just attempted my first little run. I was well strapped up with my shock absorber bra but I only managed ten minutes. I used to run every day for at least an hour but I feel so bloody out of shape and even though my boobs weren’t budging an inch in my shock absorber, I was really scared incase the impact was making my implants drop. It’s been over 5 hours since I did my pathetic little run (I can’t even call it a run if I’m honest as I was going very slow) and I can still feel the effect it has had on my scars – not sore just very tender. Advice girls on how soon you got back into running and how long it was before you were running your usual distances? x

Oh no! I’m only 10 days post op, and can’t wait to start running again but that doesnt sound like fun! Did you have big implant? I had 505’s which is a fair size! Hopefully it will get easier the more you do it – do you think we will always be paranoid about looking after them though?!xx

I only had 340s. Shock Absorber bras are the best sports bras on the market. You can get them from any good sports shop or department store (or on ebay). They’re pricey (£20-£35 each) but last years and they don’t let your bazookas budge at all. x

    Do some core exercises girls.

Squats without using your arms? walking? power walking (if able), leg lifts, lunges?

they are really leg related but it’s just because you can’t move your arms freely for the first few weeks.

Take it easy though, don’t strain yourself or do to much.

You can still do gentle daily exercise to release those happy hormones :P

    xx
