Hi my fellow Geordie lasses!
I’m looking to get hair extensions (real hair) and wondered if anyone can recommend anyone? Details on price would be good too (I’ll need a full head). x
Hey Ive heard foxy locks are supposed to be quite good, They can come to your house so much better than sitting in the salon! I’m thinking of using them this time . . I usually get breath of fresh hair from hair development it’s ace but quite pricey.

No worries! Like I said I havent used them myself yet, so if you get them before I do (in 6 weeks) Let me know how you get on!

Will do! I’m quite tempted by this company. The girl from this company is coming to see me to give me a quote next Tuesday. Really want real hair and looking at foxy’s website, they don’t seem to do real hair. The stuff they do is very hard to maintain. Will let you know who I go with! x
Hey foxy use real hair chick , I’ve never used synthetic hair as it drys out and looks nasty! They supply Hair to salons etc as well http://www.foxyhairextensions.net/
xx
Ooooh, do they?! I’ll definately check them out then, thanks! x
It looks like they just supply the hair? Do they have any salons or representatives who come out to your home to do the job? x
From what I can gather http://www.getfoxy.co.uk/ isw the same company as http://www.foxyhairextensions.net/
I’ll call them the morra and let u know
xx
Shotts, I’ve had a look at getfoxy.co.uk and want them! Want them NOW!!!
I’ve emailed them a few questions so just waiting for them to get back to me. I’m just hoping my hair is long enough and won’t look daft. But their pics on the website look fab! Want my hair in time for my new boobies – full transformation! x
Hey Lisa
I called them today and theyre def the same people, costs £245 for a full head of bonded, done in your own home! I asked the girl a heap of questions cos I was still a little unsure as I normally use breath of fresh hair by hair development at a cost of £210 then I normally have to pay someone £200.00 for fitting. When I asked her how they comapre to BHF she said she had used them before and were confident that they were on par!
I’m def gonna give them a whirl . . nothing ventured . . . .
When you wanting yours done?
xx
Think I’d like mine done within the next week or so, before my op! So I can just loosely tie my hair back whilst I’m an invalid! They say not to wash your hair too often when you’ve got them in don’t they? And given that I’ll barely be able to wash my hair then this would be perfect timing!
I’ve spoken to Hayley of Get Foxy over email. My only concern is the cost of the upkeep. I think other organisations often reuse some of the hair when redoing your extensions. Get Foxy doesn’t. You have to pay the full whack each time, as well as £50 for a top up after 6 weeks and £25 to get them taken out. But if they last 3 months as they say they do, then that’s fine.
I’m having a consultation with hj extensions tomorrow, who look amazing. Check out their website:
http://www.hjextensions.co.uk/
I think they may be a bit more expensive but I’ll find out tomorrow. The girl who runs this bizarrely enough is also called Hayley. The thing I like about hj extensions is they have an open facebook where everyone is raving about them on the wall. Get Foxy have a Facebook page but no wall for people to make comments. Which sets alarm bells ringing a bit. I’m probably just being overly suspicious! x
Hiya Hun, let me know how much she quotes you, I’d love mind done xx
Will do Melissa! HJ Extensions also do some WAGs and celebrities hairs (although they could just be saying that like! x
Hiya girls!
I saw this thread and ment to comment. I am a hairstylist in Newcastle and I do extensions. I work at Salon M and my manager Tori also qualified in the Cinderella hair extensions last year! We both love doing them and you are obviously all free to come in for a consul!
Salon M @ 0191 2212 422
We do real hair the are prebonded and very high quality. 16″ or 20″ and they come in straight wavy or curly. You can curl the straighten plait then do pretty much anything with them bar let the bonds dry naturally!!
Anyhow wanted to inform you all lol. Happy hair hunting!
Ps I have had these myself nearly all the girls at work have them and we love them best compared to other ones I’ve had!!
Oooh Maxine!!! How much do you charge at your salon? And do you find they last 3 months if you take care of them? x
Lisa
How did your consulation go?
xx
Hi Shotts! Well, my hairs a bit on the short side at the mo, which is what I thought. So I’m going to get them done in May. Hayley, who owns HJ Extensions, was amazing. She does Cinderella or Great Lengths extensions. Cinderella hair is from China and smoother and finer than Great Lengths. Great Lengths is from Japan and thicker. Cinderella is about £100 cheaper than Great Lengths. You can’t reuse Cinderella hair though but you can sometimes reuse Great Lengths although not guaranteed. For a full head of 16inch extensions, the Cinderella works out at £360.
My friend, who saw Hayley today too, has booked hers for next Friday 11 March. She wants Great Lengths but can’t decide whether it’s worth the extra £100 so she might just have the Cinderella ones. So it gives me plenty of time to see how hers are and how long they last. Should last 3-4 months if they’re looked after well. x
