Ok so not a particular diet, basically just being good. For the last week ive cut out all chocolate/sweet stuff, and alot of bad carbs meanin no pasta, rice or white bread. Low fat milk instead of milk. Been eating meat/fish with veg and swapping potato for sweet potato/butternutsquash…

but straight after food i instantly want something sweet total sweet addict, is there anything thats not too bad that will satisfy this? Any good filling low fat snacks aswel?

    xx

Hmmm that’s a hard one. this is my field of work and a common issue – even with myself- if u HAVE to have something sweet I’d suggest a cuple squares of dark choc or maybe u cud make sum fresh fruit juice ice lollys that way u know whats in them. Just fill an ice cube tray with fresh juice (not from concentrate and def not juice drink) and stick some lolly sticks in. If I think of anything else I’ll let u know :D x

fruit, strawberries dipped in sweetener! dried fruit, but not too much as it has alot of sugar lol x

If u have a meal that’s based around red meat then don’t have a piece of fruit/dried fruit afterwards. Red meat takes a long time to digest meaning the fruit can’t get thru ur system and it results in fermentation and bloating. X

Yum sounds good Nikki. Almond butter with apple is also good too but I’d probably have that as a snack rather than as a desert…mite b a bit too much. X

Has anyone been on a low-carb diet after surgery? Im 15 days PO (350cc overs) and can feel no excercise is having a major effect on me.

I’m only 4ft 11 so find it really difficult to lose weight without exercise. Is it safe for me to start something like the cambridge diet? I seem to be healing really well already – just want to get a nice flat belly to go with the new boobs now! :-S

    Hi girls,

Any tips for keeping the weight off post op? I do quite a bit of exercise at the min so eat pretty much what I like, but I know once I stop running my body will change very quickly!

Anyone any tips on how to prevent major weight gain?

    Xx

Jennifer my plan is wen I’m able to to keep walking lots, using intervals and hills but without letting my blood pressure get too high. I’ve got to go back to work 4weeks after my op (work being zumba bokwa dancing etc) so I’ll have to keep my fitness levels up. I think take a full week off then if feeling up to it start walking and just listen to ur body.

Ayshababy don’t fast for too long or ur body will start eating itself!!!! In other words it will save fat cells and use muscle for energy!!

Smoothies, smoothies, smoothies for your sweet tooth!!

And a cup of hot chocolate!

Be careful with cutting out too much fat, your brain and body needs it, at least the good fats are essential or else you’ll crave, never being satisfied.

I make at lest one smoothie a day and it keeps me slim, even have trouble keeping weight on and I eat like a horse!!

    1 shake:

    1,5 dl soya/almond milk

    1 tablespoon Udos oil(omega 3,6,9)

    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    1/3 of a frozen banana

1 1/2 tablespoon vanilla protein powder

    100 g frozen berries

    1/4 of lemon juice(fresh)

a little bit of vanilla powder.
