Can I arrive to my op on my own providing I have a chaperone to take me home ?

Can anyone tell me if I’m ok to arrive at the hospital on op day by myself or do I need some one there with me all day ? I have some one to collect me and drive me home just no one to take me I don’t see this should be a problem but does anyone know if this would be ok X

I went by myself and rang my dad to pick me up when they said I could go you don’t need anyone to take you and it’s good that they don’t rush you out and let you go when you feel ready xx

Lianna I went in on my own too, my boyfriend came to collect me and take me home. It’s fine to go in on your own. xxx

I was exactly the same as the other two girls, went in on my own and was chaperoned home. They even called my boyfriend when I came back to the room after surgery as I told them he’d be local and he popped in and then came back later.

Yes I went on my own and stayed overnight and my mam picked me up next day. Staff were lovely really put me at ease.
