Can I drink alcohol?

My BA is in 11 days. I’m wanting to go out for a few drinks tonight with my flat mate, have a last night out with no boobs lol. Is it ok? Or can you not drink alcohol two weeks pre op? Xx

What dates your op hun? Mine’s wed 4th, I’m going out tonight and also even hoping to have a few next tues as I haven’t drank in 6 weeks and honestly dying for a one! Hope it’s okay though, I’ve heard 2 weeks and also heard a week I think, I’m not too sure though xxx

Mines Wed 4th too me too I haven’t been out in weeks so need a last night out. Want to make use of some dresses I know won’t fit post op lol. Hopefully it will only be one week before so you can still go out next week too x

im not with mya but when i asked my surgeon he said its fine as long as you dont drink the day before! haha. got my ba on thur and i am going out tonight and tomorrow night and will have a few glasses of wine!

also i had sugery on my foot with the NHS before and they never even mentioned anything about not drinking

yea thats why i use it too, been such a great help! none of my friends or anyone i know has had a BA so id be lost without all these girls help! i think alcohol is supposed to thin the blood thats why they advise against it, like aspirin etc aswel. but im sure as long as you have a good few days or so (even a week) alcohol free before surgery youl be fine! and maybe just a couple of drinks and not a massive binge haha. espesh as we wont be able to drink while were on antibiotics either x

one week before hun. the pre op papers say 48 hours but my nurse said 1 week an i rung highgate to confirm. i was allowed 1 glass of wine 3 days before my op but that was all had to ring to check asd it was my friends bday! can drink one week after too, im 10 days po n will be having my first drink tonight! celebrating stitches coming out woop woop! xx

My surgeon seemed quite relaxed having alcohol in the lead up to my op! I asked him about it at my pre op consultation cos I had seen girls on here had been advised not to drink within either 2 weeks or 1 week of the op, but he said that wasn’t really necessary. He said it was fine to drink alcohol but probably not large amounts within 48 hours of the op as your body may still be processing it and it can affect the anaesthetics etc, though he said it would even be ok to have one or two the night before as I was originally planning to go out for a meal. In the end I drank 3 days before my op on a night out and I had no problems from it. x

Ahh I’m going with NU, it’s mad cos I know that I’m travelling down with two other girls from around my area who are meant to be around my age too and I sooo wanna find out who they are! I was a 34d but lost a stone this month and I’m barely filling 34c bras now! I’m having 450cc moderate profile cui’s & I’m having them over the muscle. There isn’t many girls with moderate profile implants, well I have only spoken to a few anyways, I’m soo excited to see what I’ll end up with. Instead of choosing something to wear tonight I ended up trying on all my dresses that require me to go braless and took pics so I can compare after! Sooooo excited now, week and a half to go eeeeek! xxx

Aw I would live to find my booby buddies. Where do you have to travel to? I know I’m worried cause I’m flat chatted and getting moderate where as everyone else seems to have high profile none of my friends can go out tonight so looks like I’m staying in x

I’m going down to manchester, I’m having moderate because I’m broad I think, but they also look more natural, not like I’m bothered about them looking natural mind haha! I’m just going local but it’s always good and haven’t drank in so long so I hope I don’t get too drunk! xx
