I was told they would like me to stay within 30 mins of the hosp but I just wanted to go home after so we drove the 2 and half hour journey. I felt absolutely fine, my hubby just took his time at junctions and roundabouts x

i live 4 &1/2 hours away and i stayed at a hotel. glad i did cos i felt a bit frustrsted after only 30 mins in the car from the hospital. you’ll feel much better going back the next day once you’ve rested and convinced yourself here is nothing wrong, no bleeding ect xx

I was told no more than 1 hour away incase you need to get back to hospital quickly for any reason!

I really wouldn’t recommend being in a car for that amount of time after a ba. It really is uncomfortable. Just stay in a local travel inn or something. I wasn’t willing to paying £400 more for the pleasure of a bed at the hospital when I could have a bed down the road for £60 (With un-interrupted sleep)xxx

SAME! im staying in the Jurys inn in Ilsington..3 miles away, but for the following day, how should I sit in the car? ive got a v pillow, but its gonna be a really long journey! x

Make sure you take pain killers just before! I only had a 2 hour drive and using a v pillow was actually quite uncomfortable sitting in the car. Just push seat back, lower the back bit and if you have a small little pillow then use that just to put underneath the seat belt just to protect the new boobies xxx
