I’m nearly 8 weeks post op and I’ve had mine in the sun all week? I didn’t realise you couldn’t, have covered my scars completely though, I’m worried I’ve done damage now?! :-/

I personally wudnt put sun block in ur scars at 3wks incase it irritates them. I’m 4.5wks po n I’m just keeping mine covered with my bra n top, u could always just put a towel or somethin over ur boobs n scars. Does anyone no how long u have to have them covered for? Xx

Well I’m going to Turkey on Monday and I’ll be 3 months post. I’m hoping I’ll be ok. Obviously my scars will be covered, I have a factor 50 sunblock stick to use on them. But I’ll be sunbathing in my bikini. I think 3 weeks might be too soon on your stretched skin. Scars are easy to protect as they are smaller but you can’t really keep your skin covered on the whole chest area easily in a hot climate and be comfortable with it in the heat. Just be careful, you don’t want any permanent sun damage xx

scars need to be kept covered for 12 months, personally i would keep the whole boob covered for at least 4 weeks, i went on holidy fter 4 weeks, wore a bikini but wore fctor 50 on my boobs as someone else said the skin wil burn and cause more stretch marks. xx

I was told to keep scars covered with plasters if going on sunbeds so I can’t see that u would be able to sunbathe topless. Uv rays can darken your scars I would defo keep them covered up. x

I’m pretty sure ur supposed to keep ur boobies out of sun and not use any creams or lotions on ur scars at all until at least ur 6 weeks po check xx
