Can l put moisturiser on my scars now 8 weeks po!!

Can l do this now. Am washing with Simple perfume free, rub all over just wondered if u can rub cream in apart from scar cream.

Have a stitch coming out of my right boob its been there for 4 weeks it just wont dissolve any advice? x

Vicks, yeah I would start on the scars after 6 weeks.

As for the stitch, what did the nurse say at your 6 week post op visit?

Hunni l have not seen a nurse since week 2! Saw my surgeon at week 4 but he is happy for me not to see him til end of summer. Have booked to see him though end of July. He said at the 4 week appointment it was ok just to leave it.

l called the PC today to ask about that and the moisturisor and she did not call back charming eh!! NO customer service not now. Agh!

Does it have to be non perfumed moisteriser?? Thanks Clairey xx

If you want to be on the safe side, use vaseline!

I’ve heard it’s fookin FAB on scars. My colleague had an operation and used vaseline on the scar afterwards (as advised by her doctor) and it’s hardly noticeable. Her op was in December. She’s looking great.

I’m 6wk po today n saw my nurse. She said I’ve to gently massage my boobs twice a day n use a vitamin e cream on scars (Got some from body shop). I can use any shower gel now n wash the scars properly x
