I really don’t understand and I’ve never had it before, I thought you just got it injected into you but seen people posting about GA? What’s that? Thank youu :) xxx

GA is anasthetic, its short for general anasthetic, and they insert a canular in your hand or arm n inject it thru there, they put a mask over your face too sometimes xx

I’m not 100% sure I just thought mine was oxygen lol. But sometimes they may give you like the mask to calm you down as I must admit when I was put to sleep i was in a right mess crying and shaking thinking I was going to die lol, but when I woke up I had the mask over my mouth again xx

They put a cannula In your hand & give u two anaesthetic drugs but just before that they give u oxygen, it’s standard in anaesthetics. Hope this helps x

do they have to put it in your hand? thats like my worst fear! im scared of needles but can deal with it in my arm but for some reason my hands a no go! they might have to pin me down haaha xx

I hate when people have them in their hands too but I think they numb it first so hopefully won’t be too bad. Thanks every body for the answers I feel a bit less nervous now :) xx

It’s usually in hand but it can also be in arm but that was because they couldn’t get a vein and by arm I mean it was on the front of my arm just above the wrist I had them in both arms that was due to bad child birth but when I got put to sleep it was in my hand, girls I Hate needles all together but at the time your that nervous you don’t care lol xx.

i didnt have this for a boob job i had it for two other opperations and i discovered it when my son was having an opperation. You can have some gel on your hand that numbs it but it has to go on like an hour before so make sure you tell them you want it. It helps a great deal but if you dont ask you dont get

Thanks for telling me that omg86!! I can’t imagine having a big cannula shoved into my hand without it being numbed, I feel sick at the thought! I’m definitely asking for the gel! xx
