    Hi ladies,

I’m currently 3DPO, and had a horrid reaction to anaesthetic-constantly throwing up. Luckily I was staying in overnight, I was put on a drip to get fluids back up etc

Now I’m home, I still keep being sick. I’ve been sipping water and trying to eat food that will stay down but to no prevail.

I’m sure whilst being sick I’ve either torn one of my stitches or something as it seems to be leaking.

I can’t keep my meds down and I’m just in so much pain.

I’ve tried calling the nurse to see if she can advise anything but every time I call she’s busy.

Can any of you lovelies suggest anything? X

Hey Hun, have you tried anything like ginger to try and help with feeling sick.
If you are actually still throwing up I would keep trying to call her, maybe they can give you an antisickness to take home?
And also in regards to the leaking, I’d keep trying anyway and maybe get some advice, see what they think.

I got terrible nausea after surgery, and sometimes I’d rather be sick then just feel it but I was scared it would hurt. Mine passed after a couple days, it came in waves. Also if you are taking cocodamol that can make you feel nauseous. It makes me feel really sick and I knew that from taking it previously for a car accident injury, so I didn’t wanna take them too long and just went on to paracetamol and ibuprofen as quickly as I could, I think by day 3.

Keep trying the nurse though and I hope you start feeling a bit better xx

If you can’t get in touch with the nurse then I would call 111 and see if they can suggest anything, especially if your incisions are leaking, I wouldn’t worry too much but just to be on the safe side I would call 111 or try taking some anti sickness tablets and see if that helps xxx
