can you book your surgery with the pc on your 1st consultation ?

hi girls having my 1st consultation tomorrow so excited, does anyone know if i can actually book the surgery with the pc or do i have too wait to see the consultant,

Its all according if a surgeon is at the Clinic that day. I was lucky. You usually have to book a seperare consultation with a surgeon at a later date. xxx

I had a consultation with my pc 24th March,was offered Mr Traynor as surgeon straight away,given the one and only date he had free in April and booked an appt to see him 5th April.I went home and googled him then phoned my pc next day to pay deposit and book date for 21st april! I liked him when I met him so everything went ahead as scheduled.If I hadn’t been sure then they would have offered me another surgeon and rebooked op accordingly.It all depends how fast u want things to move xx

I booked my surgery before having my consultation with the surgeon. Apparently you have a 7 day cooling off period to get your deposit back after seeing the surgeon if you changed your mind xx

i am so confused………… my PC told recommended 4 surgeons and i am so confused which one to pick!!! i wished she had just named 1!! i have not seen any surgeon yet but am desperate to book! ) xx

Hi ladies- I had my consult with pc [last week]the next day saw the surgeon and having my op this week.

2 weeks in total – realised after years of deciding if i wanted to go on holiday[booked already] and swim tan etc it needed to be asap!

I did swat up for ages about the whole process though- the forum helped- just get your finances ready as you need to pay approx a week or two before op in full.x
