can you take ibroprofen 5 days post-op?

Morning everyone!

I know we can take paracetamol just can’t rem if ibroprofen is ok to take?

Hi huni, I was prescribed ibuprofen when I left the hospital and it was my saviour! 400ng so that’s usually 2 of what u can buy from the shop. I took that and paracetamol instead of the co-dydramol as I don’t like codeine xx

I got given 500mg dose and didn’t realise and was taking 2 at a time!!!

Yeah I been taking that co-dydramol and can’t stand it anymore, so just took paracetamol last night instead. I’m not in loads of pain but just wanted to know what I’m allowed incase

I was chucking the lot down my throat and took me 3 days to notice, wondered why I was so spaced out lol!!!

Hey yeh ibuprofen would be a great choice of painkiller as its anti-inflammatory as well so will help any swelling go down. Just make sure you eat something first before you take them as they can damage the stomach if you take without.

I could’nt take it,they said it could affect my asthma,Im afraid I just had to stick to the paracetamol.xxx
