Cancelled op 4-4-2012

My op has been cancelled i am in tears! Waited 8 years to pluck up the courage to do this!

It was with Adamo and they have offered to rearrange it on the 18th but i have kids and my bf goes uni so this was the only time we have off due to the easter break. I really stressed this in my consultation too.

Even if i rearranged for the summer my other half is working at the olympics so when he breaks up he literally starts his job.

I am thinking about trying to rush the process with another company, but even then i have to wait for mya to refund me.

It is just crazy -_-

I looked in the contract and it does not say anything about them canceling your op from what i saw only clauses if you cancel your op. They want to rebook me on the 18th but i cannot do that date.

I understand Hun! I have my daughter and I’m booked in for the 13th which gives me 2 days before my daughter goes back to school! I think it’s soo booked up because of the Easter holiday, it’s the best time for mums to get theirs done! They better not cancel on me next week … I’m really starting to doubt MYA after the things I’ve been hearing from girls on the forum lately.This is really not professional at all! X

you need to kick off hun, call them and ask how quick you can have a refund as you cant do the other dates and you stressed this in your consultation…!!!

Yeah i will be on it tomorrow but they called me at 5 when all the offices are closing x

Did they say why out of all the people going in on that day that they chose to cancel yours? X

Something about 3 girls having to be cancelled and they chose it based on the time that it was booked. So if anyone booked earlier then i did they got first pick :S

that is disgusting customer service how the hell did they over book! make sure u dnt let it rest hun, i hope to god they dont do tht 2 ne1 else! i have my op on 21st n they best not do tht 2 me or ill b takin my money else where!!! x hope ur ok hun x

How on earth has this happened,surely they can communicate with each other and know when the surgeons lists are full,I am really shocked to see this.sonia87 I feel so sorry for you,the planning,waiting,and emotional roller coaster you will have been through with the lead up to you BA can be quite stressful,not to mention the inconvenience this will have caused,having made arrangements around other people,I can not imagine how you must be feeling,I really hope some one can give you some answers.BIG HUGS HONEY.XXX

That is awful! I can’t believe they have done that! How the hell can they overbook surgery! Surely there is a limit that stops it from being overbooked in the first place! It is their fault for not looking to see how many operations were already on that day and for misleading you to think that that date was available! Your emotions must be all over the place I’m so sorry for you hun it’s horrible that they have this community for us to go through things together and now your going to have to watch everybody else knowing that you should be with them! & it’s all their fault! I’d hit the roof me! Don’t stop until you have some proper compensation for this whether it be another date that suits you or your money back, make sure you get what you deserve from them! xxx

Like literally i was just crying and just in such despair. But they have given me a new date, compensation and i have to say that my PC is amazing! We just got off the phone to each other anything i wanted i think she would of done.

Having to wait another 2 weeks again is just so annoying and disheartening but in the end i really need to get this done & there is not much we can do unluckily in these situations but try and get as much comp and support as we can.

Thank you so much girls you have made me realise i was not just getting upset for no reason and that i had a genuine case that needed to be sorted asap..

That is appalling. I just want to say how sorry I am, I know how you feel as my op was cancelled the day before (but it was due to medical issues not being resolved quickly enough, not really MYA’s fault). You work yourself up for it only to be told its not happening. It’s awful especially when you have kids to sort out child care for.

But I believe that things (good and bad) happen for a reason. Due to my op being postponed, I subesquently applied for a job and got it. I’m now 10 days PO and it’s all worked out – it will for you too.

So sorry sonia.same as bethy said I too believe in things happening for a reason, mine was postponed 3 days before op and its so horrible but that day come n I was ill anyway and had to move house the day after so it worked out for best, got my new date which was about 7 weeks later, but I cudnt have asked for better I got a lovely booby buddy, can’t remember her name though (only joking bethy ) and I’m glad I got to have it done with Beth cause she has been my rock. Good luck for 2 weeks time it will fly sonia. It’s terrible what has happend. Chin up n big hugs xx

OMG i just read the post oh no !!! how can this happen ? ? i’m gutted for you babe but on a positive note at least your going to have the op its just been postponed which is disappointing but think of it this way this time next year you will have new boobies think of all those bras dresses you can wear ! don’t feel upset babe you’ve helped me so much on here think positive xx

Awwe hun, i know exactly how u feel cos mine was cancelled two days before as well, after id sorted child care for my two young kids, annual leave for me an family, etc, i was in tears too. It is disgusting and such a let down. I hope when u get on to them tomorrow u can get it sorted, good luck xx

Ive been reading a lot of negatives about MYA lately and i know there are many more positives but its the negatives that stand out. This is awful and it really angers me! It makes me think that they are not being professional and why can’t prevent this from happening?! Dissappointed in MYA. Hope this all gets sorted for you sonia87 i’d be fuming if the same thing happened to me ! x x

Thank you girls for all your support and kind words, it i crazy to see there are a few of us who have been in this situation.

Mya really do need to step up there professionalism. We all prepare for the op with time off work, childcare and also getting ready mentally and these things are not just easily re-arranged especially with a day or two to go xx

sonia87 non of this has been your fault,you should not have been put through this honey,no one should,someone needs to really step up their game within this company,MYA have a great reputation but incidents like this will not bode well for them,I know no company is perfect and we will read good and bad feedback,but to me MYA have stood out amongst all their competitors,in how they deal with a situation. I some how don’t think a bunch of flowers will make you feel less angry for the situation you have been put in honey,again through no fault of your own,I do hope that they will maybe offer you some complimentary vouchers from their non surgical range,as I feel this would be much better than a bunch of flowers,and it will give you something else to look forward to,stay positive lovely,I am sure they will bend over backwards to compensate for this,the whole forum is thinking of you honey.xxx
