I had my 3 months po today with Mr Singh at the Birmingham clinic… I had a breast uplift, tummy tuck with muscle tightening.

I read too often on this forum how MYA cancel appointments and things go wrong and people are not happy but you don’t hear much about the things that go great as people don’t always come back on here to tell the world, they just go about there business but the people that are not happy will understandably come here and shout and tell everyone.

From start to finish MYA have been absolutely great. From the very first visit they fitted me straight in after I called them on my mobile, i was in Birmingham at the time and didn’t really want to drive home to come back to Birmingham a few days later. I didn’t feel rushed and Wanda answered all my questions and i didn’t feel like they didn’t want to know me after i paid the money over as some have said in the past on this forum.

I went to 3 different companies to see different surgeons and Mr Singh beat them all hands down. He was chatty, funny, listened to me and was a happy person. He suggested I have a mammogram before my uplift as I had never had one before and things get moved around. So i booked a private appointment and the nurse found a shadow so i had to go for a scan and then the ball got rolling . My surgery date got put on hold and i had to have a biopsy and a titanium clip put into my boob which will stay there forever to mark the spot for future reference. I was so upset and worried but it all turned out fine, it was nothing and Wanda called me up to see how I was with each stage of the mammogram and biopsy.
Then there was talk of Mr Singh not doing my op till the titanium clip was taken out and i got upset all over again as i didn’t want to go through another biopsy to have it taken out (which was more scary than my actual breast uplift)
Jessica from the Birmingham clinic was trying to sort it all out for us as she knew how worried and upset i was as to whether my op that had been paid for and was in a weeks time was actually going to go ahead that she got in from work and called my husband about 8pm at night to say yes Mr Singh is all OK with it now he has seen the scan results and it can go ahead.. Jessica apologized for calling us so late.. Midnight wouldn’t of been too late as i was so worried and we were so grateful to her for not waiting till the next day to call us.

Someone from the clinic called me a few days before my op to make sure all was OK for my coming surgery and did i have any questions.

The hospital stay all went smoothly and everything was fine (talked about this in another post a few weeks back)

Wanda called me whilst I was in hospital and Mr Singh called me as I was checking out..(he wasnt there to see me as he had been taken ill and was being cared for elsewhere). Someone called me once I had got home too.

I did have to call the emergency nurse as a mega huge hole opened up in my stomach from my tummy tuck and I was worried. It was gone midnight and it happened to be Jessica on the phone (the nurse who called me at 8pm ) I woke her up and she was fine and told me not to worry. An appointment was made for me for the next day and i went straight there and my huge gaping hole was actually a tiny hole that id panicked over and woke the poor girl up for nothing. it was a spitting suture and she dressed it and i went home felling silly.. but Jessica was fine.

I’ve seen my nurse Jessica a few times and she has had to put up with me and my anxiety attacks and nearly fainting when my strapping was taken off. She stayed as cool as a cucumber and it didn’t bother her that I kept grabbing her hand and telling her to stop and saying that i was going to faint and my nipple was going to fall off. lol
Every-time hubby and I have visited the Birmingham clinic Wanda has been about and she has always come over for a chat and even when her office door was open and she could see us in the waiting room she has called out to make sure we were both OK..

Today I had my 3 month po appointment with Mr Singh.. I do have a few issues with my tummy.. And I really did think I would get fobbed off but as soon as my surgeon saw my tummy he said he could see it needed more work and he wanted to wait for another 3 months as it will change but if it didn’t or I wasn’t happy then I would be admitted into the new London hospital (which opened today) and I might have lipo (didn’t have lipo the first time) and my skin by my scar line fixed.
He also said when looking at my boobs.. that I had a bit of scar breakdown.. he mentioned it not me!

All in all I want to say that my time with Mya has been great and i cant fault them at all. I’ve had no appointments cancelled, they have called me throughout and made sure i was OK, even after I had paid my money!

    Special thanks to

    Wanda,
    Jessica
The staff at the Highgate hospital (especially one of the night-nurses and also the patent co-coordinator)
    and of course

Mr Singh who even called me from his hospital bed (as he had taken ill) to make sure I was OK after my op and to tell me what he had done to me…. .)

happy healing and pert boobies to all

    xxxxxxx

It’s so nice to here positive things as like you said people only ever complain. I too have no complaints about MYA. For me it was 4 weeks from initial consultation to actually having my new boobs done. Everything for me was straight forward. I would use MYA again tomorrow (if I had the money) and would certainly recommend them to other people. Another happy customer 🙂 xx

I still get teary lol. I’m so glad I chose MYA 🙂 xx
