Hi girls,
I had my op 7th October and I’m worried I might have a CC in my right breast. It is still very hard and feels kind of tight if i stretch my arm back or up. It is obvious when i take my bra off as my left breast sits nicelt whereas the right looks hard and higher. Has anyone else had one?? I am so upset about this! If this is the case, will I have to pay for another operation??
Thanks girls xxx
I have CC honey but it does not mean that you will have it even from your description, only your surgeon will be able to tell you that, and it can be corrected Im not sure what MYAs after care states re CC,my BA was through another company,my re op will be fully covered,I could describe to you what my breasts look like but no two people will look the same if they have CC.You need to book a surgeons appointment honey to get this checked out.

Thanks Tina. It’s just so stressful, you go through with the operation thinking everything will be ok! I’m gutted because the left breat is amazing, I am so happy with the size etc. But I just feel so lop sided when I take my bra off! How soon after your operation did you realise there was a problem? xx
hey huni i got cc and only had realised 7 years later it wasnt a serious case but even so i was really upset i had a reop the other day and seem to have more pain in the side where i had cc maybe this is because they did more work on this side who knows. I had the reop as the cc was making my breast really hard and i was in pain with it x
Hi Bekkyb… was your original operation with Mya? Did you have to pay for the reop? Sorry to hear you’re in pain
I guess they have to remove all the scar tissue so there will be more brusing I would think! Rest up! xx
no my first op was with transform and i had to pay for this one with mya mainly because i was thinking of having them redone anyway after 2 kids. The best thing to do id ring and make an appointment chick better to get seen sooner rather than later it may be something simple they can sort out for you x x
if you do have cc hun, as long as its within five years, MYA cover it, as long as the surgeon agrees you have it though. book in and see him asap, even to get your mind at rest xx
Quick question, if you have cc and have a reop will you then just get cc again or is there a chance you’ll be fine second time around?
I was only diagnosed with it last June,I was almost 2 years post op,I noticed one boob had shrunk like a full cup size in my bra and the nipple looked like it wanted to run away and hide under my arm, throbbing ache constantly like they were not supported, the left boob resembles sponge bob square pants and that’s gone even bigger,so Im a bit lop sides I refuse to go back to chicken fillets so my odd socks have come in handy for the smaller boob, lol.I did have overs the first time around Mario suggested unders this time but Im worried I may need another uplift,my scars are brilliant from first time around but not sure what they will be like second time around,I Measured 19 notch to nipple before the first uplift on one breast Im 23 notch to nipple now, saggier than before the uplift and I didnt have a big implant, xxx
It must be very frightening to experience this. I wd also like to know what causes this and like emm said how can you prevent it a second time? If it is essentially a rejection? Good luck tina and those here who are worrying x
This is the thing anchovie I have not been given enough information, total lack of communication, do I go through it all again or stick with my deformed boobs,I feel like Im in a no win situation.xxx
omg im so scared of this:/ I went with soft touch I pray this reduces that chance….thinking of you ladies who are dealing with cc…
hugs xxx
I’ve read on the Internet vit E can help but not stop it from happening because your body is rejecting it also it’s a higher risk over the muscle but you can still get it under the muscle
good luck girls… I hope I don’t get it I’m 5 weeks tomorrow xxx
I have taken vitamin E all the way through,it is no reflection on the surgeon I may add, its is my bodies reaction to the implant,I have always been very strict with myself re post op care, following instructions, but it is just one of the risks and it does not happen very often.Unlucky me.xxx
Hi Girls,
I’ve booked in to see Dr K next week… I’m really nervous. I had my op roughly 6 months ago so it’s all very raw (memories of pain haha). If Dr K agrees (which I think it would be hard not to) that I have CC (only in one breast) would I have to pay for the new implant and/or the surgery? I can’t afford this so am really worried. But I also hate looking at my CC breast and it’s painful
xx
Hey huni i think that it is covered aslong as it is in 5 years but im not 100% sure of that x
I was told that there’s absolutely no way of avoiding capsular contraction and that I you’re gonna get it then it will happen regardless. You have to remember girls that an implant is a foreign body which your own body will try to reject, and this comes in the form of scar tissue around the implant. The amount of scar tissue formed is based on how well your own body copes with a foreign body in it. Xx
