    Hi Girls,

I’m currently 2 weeks PO and I’m really beginning to panic about the likelihood of developing capsular contracture :/. I’m such a worrier :(.

Does anybody know how likely it is that this will happen? I have been looking on the internet quite a bit but there’s mixed reviews and sometimes I don’t think looking on the internet helps at all. It just scares you!! There’s never anything positive, always worst case scenario and its a bit scary to me. xx

No idea on likelihood, but it’s more common with overs I believe (which I have). But I wouldn’t waste time worrying about it unless it happens. If it happens then it happens and worrying won’t help 🙂 and it’s easily fixed with a re op x

I think it takes longer than 2 weeks for a capsule to form around your implant so try not to worry for now and see what they say at your 6 week check xx

I think it usually happens 3-6 months post op. Not sure on the likelihood but I know it’s not very common xx

I’m such a worrier too and all these little things make me panic so much. i just want them done and to have no problems but seems most ppl seem to be experiences little hiccups lately. As i have 32aaa i think il be happy with any kind of result to be honest but just don’t want any complications.. (but thats obv the risk you have to take) xx

Ok, thank you @courts78, how were you able to tell that you had it? and how long after your op did it happen for the first time?

Yeah I’m the same @ellie2015, but like you said I suppose it is a risk you have to take. I’m definitely glad I’ve had them done, without a doubt. It just still worries me quite a lot that there is a possibility I may develop complications :(. I suppose I will just have to take it as it comes and hope for the best 🙂 xx
