Capsular Contracture- Help please ladies

Hi ladies, not been on here in aaggesss! Just wondering if you have capsular contracture do they remove both implants or only one of the implants? I am also assuming you are able to go bigger since the skin will have stretched and also that it should be free of charge? x

They remove 1 hun bt u cn request to go biger x

Does anyone know what the signs of capsular contrature are??

I have a capsular inplant it’s hard you can not lay on your belly at night

times it sometimes hurts and it’s tight Its being taken out in April I had my ba 10th dec 2010

my CC wasn’t hard and didnt hurt my boob was just distorted.

What happens if it keeps happenin? then turns out your body just cant take implants?

My boob looks fine but it’s when you touch it you can notice it but my left inplant was always swollen even when I left the hospiatal

Thanks for your replies ladies. Corinacampbell, if they remove one then how can you go bigger with just one implant? Surely they will remove both as also one boob will be really soft and other really hard as both are at different stages of healing. The boob i think i have capsular contracture in, is actually the softer of the two but it is the shape that looks mis-shapen like when you get CC. Funtimes and Maxine- sorry to hear about ur cc, are they going to/did they remove both implants for you, for free? xx

i had surgery done 4 years ago by a surgeon who has left the company which is now gone into administration….and i was past my guarantee….lucky me! plus my implants where the dangerous PIP kind! ha!

so i went with mya to have the implants removed and the cc removed and bigger implants….at a £5000 cost! oh well….i am already saving for in case it happens again xxx

Ahh bless you, glad it is sorted now though! Don’t mya offer unlimited cover for CC though if in the unfortunate event it was to happen again? Xx

How do you know if its CC and how soon can you get it? xx

Hi samf81, usually the breast feels hard and painful and hot and looks an unusual shape, the only reason i think i have it is because the bottom of my left breast when i relax my shoulders looks a bit saggy although i have no other symptoms. I’m 6 months post op and just uploaded some pictures but you can’t tell it in them, it’s only when i am in a certain position x
