capsular contracture mayb? Help!

Hi girls… I’m 17 months post op. Was a 32a/b had 300cc’s under the muscle by Mr Singh at Highgate and am now having a little pain with my breasts. I was measured a 32dd after surgery and am now being measured a 32e, they feel like they’re growing and are slightly painiful in the section above the nipple and slightly hard… they’re soft everywhere else. I was just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar or anyone knows if it definately is capsular contracture thingy as I’m starting to get really panicked now!!!! thanks chicks!

Hi Nats, I would contact your surgeon for advice or a check up – even if it’s just to put your mind at ease.

I had severe capsular contracture in my left breast after my first ba and lived with it for years and years. My breast went hard in places until after a while it changed to a different shape than my right breast. It went very round, hard and painful if pressed. I had my second ba 5 weeks ago and a lot of work was done removing the scar tissue that had built up. I’m recovering nicely now though! Put your mind at ease and get them to check you out xxx

hi annemarie, sorry to hear that you had cc, i was just wondering when you had your 2nd ba did they just do your left boob or did they do both? Did you end up having the same sized implant again, or go bigger? Sorry for all the questions, hope you have a good recovery hun x

hi again annemarie, i’ve just read your comment on one of the other posts, and realised that you had your first ba 13 years ago. I guess that means your cc was not covered by aftercare so you would have had to pay for your 2nd ba?

Hi Tammy, yes I wasn’t covered for cc with my first op and I went with MYA and paid for the second ba. Aftercare was really important to me this time around, I had 400cc liquid silicone overs all those years ago and got 560cc natrelle gel hp unders 5 weeks ago x

hi annemarie, i also went with MYA and had my ba 13 months ago. I had 380cc high profile overs, as that is what Mr Adamo advised for me. I had breast fed 3 babies and had empty 34b boobs and now a very happy full 34e

That’s interesting that you have gone from 400 overs to 560 unders? What made you want to change from overs to unders? I would have thought, that once you had had overs, you might get double bubble from changing to unders?? I have read that unders are less likely to develop cc than overs, is this the reason for your change of placement? x

Hi girlies i’ve jus read your posts…yeah i’m going to make an appointment tomorrow, i am gettin really worried now as they are so painful, a lil hard but not misshapen so hopefully thats a good thing. i’ll keep u updated on what happens.
