Capsulectomy and replacement advice

I’m 11 years post op and considering either removal or reaug. Need a capsulectomy in one . Really want to hear from anyone who has had CC removal surgery and replacement . What do I need to consider and know in advance etc. thanks

I was just under 9 years post op and just had a reaugmentation with capsulectomy, even though it was Grade 1 capsular contracture my surgeon said within another year I would have probably got a rupture so I’m glad I had them redone now. I was a bit shocked to learn that my initial implant placement wasn’t what the surgeon said it would be as all these years I had no idea I had overs when it was meant to be dual plane! So he had to remove the capsule and create new pockets for under the muscle. Have you seen a surgeon? X

Hi yes I’ve seen a surgeon . I have also had a recent mammogram and scan and no rupture observed. Grade 2/3 CC I spotted in my notes. I’m still happy with how they look but one is a lot firmer now and I often get pain/discomfort in the one with CC then all is ok for months so I’m really torn on what to do. Mine are overs originally so I really need to remeet with the surgeon again I think to ask about best way forward for reducing risk of repeat CC as much as possible. X
