Hi All, I had my meeting with Dr G last week and all went well however he said I’d need a small cartilage graft from the side of my nose put into the tip…has anyone else had this done? its really freaked me out! I really don’t want to end up with a jodie marsh!
Also I’ve had to put my deposit down as prices went up as of this week (open rhino is now a whopping 5300!!) to get the cheaper price but I have to make my decision by friday. Any support/kind words etc would be much appreciated as I really don’t want to chicken out…

Hey, I had exactly the same as you except I needed 4 grafts! I was convinced you would be able to see lumps in my nose and that it wouldnt be symmetrical, but its turned out perfect! There is 0% chance of looking like jodie marsh or michael jackson (Dr G said!) he is amazing, go for it!!!
Have a look at my pics of you want

Hi Lydia
I had the open surgery with the graft at the tip.
The only thing I can say is it feels weird, where the tip use to squish around it’s now quite solid (3 months post-op), it really tickles but does feel softer week by week.
Feel free to have a look at my pics, I do look grumpy in them but that’s me concentrating!!
It’s natural to feel scared but I can honestly say I’m really glad I did it xxx
The more i read about this surgeon, the more i want my nose done!
Hi Lydia,
I had open rhino with DR G last Thursday so am 6 days post op now.
I originally had a consultation with another surgeon (mario russo) but within 5 mins of meeting
DR G I was sold! He is so lovely and really puts your mind at ease. I was originally having closed
surgery but Dr G said he could achieve a better result with open…however he left the decision entirely
up to me! Intact I told him my decision on the morning of surgery. I kindve left te result in his capable hands,
what he thought would be best for my face. I didn’t go with an ideal nose in mind, just wanted it smaller from
the side & the bump removing. He also reduced the tip by removing cartiledge but said it would be too
bulbous if he didn’t! I travelled from Manchester to London just to have him do my surgery as I knew he was
the best.
I wasn’t 100 percent sure that I was doing the right thing even on the morning of surgery but that is
completely natural. I’m 32 now & have wanted it since I was 15!! Took me a long time but I am so much
in the right mind set now to cope with the surgery/recovery. If I hadn’t done it now I never would!
Good luck deciding honey..if you have any questions just ask
Xxx
Thanks guys!
I have until tomorrow lunchtime to potentially chicken out but I think I’m going to go ahead with it. Everything I’ve seen on here and all the research I’ve done on Dr G has been positive, he said my nose was fairly simple to do and I’m really impressed with his before and afters. Dr G said I would experience hardness on the tip but to be honest, my nose is very hard (it doesn’t squash down like most) so i don’t think it would be much different. Is there a danger of the cartilage moving around do you know?
Were you nervous beforehand? I’m scared I’ll be sick with nerves! Surgery really scares me, but I’m hoping it’ll all be worth it.
Jills, I’ve wanted a nose job since I was at school, so for around 10 years. I’m 23 now. Also I’ve just added you, do you have photos up yet? would love to see!
