Cast off- love my new nose! :)

Hi everyone,

Got my cast off today after having open rhinoplasty with Dr Gonschoir. Was surprisingly calm and relaxed about it and really happy with the result! I have a slight slope like I wanted and the tip is smaller. There is still some swelling round the top of my nose, but I love it already. So much better than my old nose! It is weird seeing it and feeling it as its a completely different shape now, but I’m really happy with it Would recommend Dr Gonschior, so anyone having him need not worry!

I just got so excited when I read your post lorlor. So so happy for you. I am meeting Dr G in a few weeks and although I am 99% sure that I want mine done, I still have my reservations however reading your story is giving me a lot more to base my decision on so thank you!!

I think I will be having predominantly tip work doing (as I consider mine to be “bulbous”) … has yours changed much?

Also, when you had your initial consultation with Dr G did you tell him exactly what you wanted and spend lots of time making that clear or is it more of a two way conversation where he will say what he wants to do?

Hi Kaylees, glad I’ve helped you in some way. When I went to see him he asked me what I didn’t like about my nose and I told him. He’s really lovely and listened to exactly what I said, saying it was possible to make those changes. He said he would do open surgery because of the tip. I previously thought this would take ages to recover from but I’m only eleven days post op and you can hardly even see my scar! Disappeared already. The only time I was really worried I was going to regret my decision was when I saw my swollen face the day after the surgery, and I also had really bad bruised eyes. I suppose you just panic seeing yourself in such a way and I worried it was never going to go down, but the moment it started to improve, my fears went away. I now have very minimal bruising I can cover with make-up (finally put some on today!) and slight swelling, but not much.

I’m really happy with how mine has turned out and I was just like you before, worrying that I was making the wrong decision and might ruin my face (especially as my nose wasn’t terrible to start with!)

Hi Lorlor….have been reading your posts!!! am sooo jealous you got it done…im 25 and have been wanting it done for years…. think im going to bite the bullet and do it but just so scared it will go wrong… would love to see the photos… xxxx
